I don’t know,hence the question…WHY?

Well done to Drogs and Trivela fingers crossed for the final

That’s what I think the plan will be if Lowe goes.

Have you been in a nuclear bunker for the last 2 years ?

Hopefully not.

I think I am in a small minority, I have absolutely no interest in them whatsoever. I know what people will say, and fair enough if any of it can possibly benefit Walsall then great, but that’s as far as it goes.

The bloke who posts on here who supports them seems a decent bloke also.

Half and half scarves in the club shop if you are planning on going.

Did you go to Drogheda mate?

I think I can speak for a few of us who went - there was a real bond and a really nice connection formed.

I don’t think any of us would be arsed about any of their results - but it’s sometimes nice to have a laugh and a bit of a connection with others - and there is a really lovely link between the clubs in my opinion .

Roll on next summer!

In fairness, I have absolutely zero interest in Walsall either!

I have my club in England (fc United) who I’m going to see next week!

However, there are some drogheda and Walsall supporters who are buying into a bit of a link.

Fair play to them, each to their own! It’s no harm, so don’t know why anyone would be negative about it.

I didn’t go to our friendly - but the offer is there to meet any Walsall supporters that travel for a pint on cup final day!

For me, my interest in Drogheda is the development of DJT and looking at who could possibly be fed into us - I see Drogheda as a potential feeder club for us. Hoping to see us develop more players through our youth and for them to go to Drogheda for experience in the future.

Don’t want to speak for Blazing, but I didn’t see any negativity in his post, just honesty. I’ve been interested in and watching Irish football for years, through my Finn Harps affinity. What makes me laugh is folks that 15 months ago were calling it a “farmers league” and doubting the achievements and ability of Freddy Draper are suddenly knocking one out over Drogheda reaching the final because they enjoyed a piss up at a meaningless friendly. :joy:

You’re wrong there Dave - we were playing for the much coveted Trivela Cup.

What next? The Bescot Bucket whip-round Trophy. Contested every year over a weekend of games involving ourselves Luton, Bournemouth, and Rotherham. With the other 3 probably sending their under 21’s. Winner gets a gold oscar/Jules Rimet sized Statue of Bonser.

I’ve followed Walsall for well over 40 years now, a bit of negativity comes with the territory!

I have nothing against Drogedha at all, and I even said you seemed like a decent bloke.

Sometimes saying exactly what you think doesn’t work out but that’s just how I am.

I’ve been to FC United by the way. We had a game called off at Blackburn and had already bought train tickets, so we chose another game and went to FC United v Telford. They won 3-0. Great experience it was actually, was made to feel very welcome, I hope you have a good time and all the best to Drogheda for the rest of the season.
