Expectations For The 2024/25 Season

101 points!

NO, we’ll never win promotion playing this/that way. Or so I’ve heard repeatedly from people who inform me I don’t understand the game.

Feel team started well, hope lowe stays all season, and dj gets a recall at some point. My only concern is DDaniel when fit will saddler break up the back line. I fine Dd is a player that make to mistakes my opinion only. still feel we have a chance to turn leicester over.

101 points is a bit of an extrapolation after 4 games!

As for DD, I wish he were fit. We need some cover at CB.

Check out the GDs, going to be a lot of teams scoring 100+

Port Vale not in the top half.

Another super computer predicting good things

Two teams only picking up 20 points? Bit unlikely.

Still predicting us as champs, not sure what data they use.

Its a computer prediction of each result , similar to the Grimsby tool. There’s a button on the page somewhere where you can see all the scores they have used.

10 games into the season in all competitions

Currently in 4th, probably need another 10 league games to see where we are to get a better picture. But a good start, 12 points from 6.

One game away from progressing past the group stage in what looked a very tricky group.

Amazing win at Swindon and two narrow defeats at Tranmere and MK.

Work to be done there, but we’re not giving much away, the two defeats we could have easily picked up four points.

Birmingham result was very impressive too.

Only Farquharson seems to be long term, bigger squad means we have quality in backup when a player does get injured. Few faces back hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Harry Williams, Tommy Simkin, Connor Barrett, Jamie Jellis, Nathan Lowe, Ryan Stirk (does he class as a young player?), Taylor Allen all standout players for us so far this season.

Need to look at tying some of these down to longer contracts, Harry Williams especially.

Did you give yourself a B+ :joy::kissing_heart:

Good job i dont as i would be in detention

It will be interesting to re-read some of the negative comments before the season started. Some people have gone rather quiet.

Been in the top 3 for pretty much the whole season :white_check_mark:

Lost in the second round to a League 1 team, not too bad.

Into the knockout stages for the first time in years

Incredible difference in away form

Only 5 conceded, four consecutive clean sheets. When was the last time we did that?

Had a few injuries, but a far more settled side this season.

The back six have been pretty much ever present except when Harry had to take time off with a head injury.

Simkin, Barrett, Okagbue, Williams, Allen, Jellis, Stirk and Lowe all been incredibly good.
