El Mundano
Group 4
Jolly jonny saddla jayelar
Thanks for doing this jollyjonny. Should be fun.
Good luck everyone
I think this format is very unfair on @matt_saddlesore . It only gives him a choice of three rivals to copy. He needs more.
I think there is a flaw with round 4, one that only Argentinians or Asian betting syndicates might take advantage of. Or me, if I get the chance. if I am lucky enough to be a ‘home’ predictor, I simply wait for my opponent to post his or her predictions, then make exactly the same predictions, confident that I will win courtesy of my bonus point.
There is an easy way round this.
Good point.
The easy way is for people to PM me their predictions and i post them after kick offs.
Here are the group tables after the 1st Round of the FA Cup. Pingu was the only one to score 4 points so I guess can be classed as our ‘Round 1 Winner’ - well done!
The 2nd round is the first weekend of December, so we’ll see you then. In the meantime, back to some league action!!
Group 4 is definitely the group of death.
I’m liking this new format
Close init👍
I’m top of mine on alphabetical order
After the Blackpool v Forest Green Rovers game was eventually played this evening, here are the updated group tables from Round 2. It was worth the wait for some as it gave them a solid points haul, the best of which was 5 points, achieved by ManchesterSaddler - well done on being our Round 2 winner!
The 3rd round line up is now sorted so the thread will be posted for that shortly, games being played the 4th Jan onwards.
Oh great, I’m doing really well again
Here are the final group tables after the conclusion of the 3rd round games at Wigan last Monday night. The winning score for the 3rd round was 5 points, achieved by Shrewsbury-saddler - well done!
It has been a close run thing and in all tables people scoring the same number of points has made positioning tricky but using different criteria, been able to do it. So, if people scored the same number of points as another predictor, the placing criteria to separate them were as follows:
- Highest points total in any single round e.g. 4 points against 3 points scored
- By last round highest score e.g. 4 points in the 3rd round bettered 4 points in round 1 or 2
- By most number of highest scores e.g. Two 4 pointers against one 4 pointer
- By order of highest points in reverse order of rounds
- Finally, if people had absolutely identical records then it was simply down to alphabetical.
Onto the 4th round, and fixtures will be posted after all the replays have been played on Weds 17th.
The 4th round is a knockout but still involving all 32 predictors. Top 2 from 1 group will predict against the bottom 2 of another, with the ‘home’ advantage of a bonus point for finishing in the top 2 positions.
To avoid any skullduggery, predictions will be PM’d to me and then posted up for all to see after the majority of games have been played, probably the evening of Sun 28th Jan.
Lucky I played in the worst group! Wouldn’t have troubled the top two in most others, and I’m sure someone is looking forward to a giant-killing away performance!
Mental note sign up next year as AAA Bluejay
…and score more points?
Beat me to it!!
