Some fans only want to engage when the team aren’t doing well. Don’t see anyone asking for a forum to congratulate the club when things are going well.
Issa have requested at least four meetings , including at times when we were twelve points clear , so hardly. Only wanting to speak with them in not so good times on our behalf
We wanted them to give fans a better idea of how the loan is structured regarding the freehold , and how long before club truly owned its home
We also wanted to know how they planned to re finance said loan. Which boycott said would need to be looked at at some point
We wanted to ask how the split between each team they own in relation to. Senior personnel salary’s was structured , ie do Walsall pay all gambles salary. Despite him. Covering all the clubs financial affairs
We asked. For an explanation of How they thought the January transfer window was good, and. If they still thought we had come out of it stronger As per the guarantee bb made in his statement
We requested that the fans be told the true reasons certain players seemed to be frozen out. Despite one being the top earner at the club
We asked why they refuse to meet with the biggest fan group associated with Walsall fc. Despite them saying they want to be open and transparent in there. Ownership of the club
We believe the above requests which were put to us by the fanbase. To ask where not unreasonable or to tasking. and ones even mr pomlett. May answer
But as usual our request was met with a firm no , But maybe. Now we are out of the automatic promotion spots. ( temporarily I hope ). Given your logic. They may just want to speak with us
Especially mr pomlett as he may ask us to try and hoodwink the fans again
Like ive said before, ISSA have done some great work, but u guys absolutely boned yourselves by realeasing minutes when the club asked you not too. Maybe if you didnt, youd still have a seat at the table.
Also, you only seem to pipe up with my good mate (above) on things that criticise the club? Whys that?
On the fan groups, my mates in one and they do meet up every few months. They dont release minutes but are trialing various things that we have seen around the club.
This site is looked at for different issues (off pitch) to improve the matchday and where new ideas could be trialed and implemented.
Other than the on pitch woes, i think the club and the fans are closer than they’ve even been.
Then what is the point? Why should a select few fans get to know what’s going on? Why shouldn’t fans be able to hear answers? There should be meetings with multiple fan groups and minutes should be released.
You clearly don’t know the full story about what happened there.
Anyway, what table is it we would have a seat at? There is no table to sit at.
Regardless of if Trivela want to engage or not, ISSA remains as strong as ever, are proud of what we have achieved, focused on achieving our goals and most of all dedicated to maintaining our integrity at all times.
It was not. about. Just releasing the minutes tho was it
It was more about the fact. That the sole owner at the time wanted us to lie to the. Fanbase
An act we would not be party to
If having a seat at the table means you have to lie to your fellow fans, thank god. The seat has been withdrawn , As it’s a seat I would never be comfortable sitting in
It’s how a. Certain person at the club operates mate ,
if you are prepared to lie and mis lead fellow fans you are welcomed with open arms if not you are viewed as an irritant. Who they won’t engage with , as he does not like the questions being put forward
If any group no matter what name they go under have a meeting with any one official at the club . It should be minuted , as every fan has a right to know what’s being discussed
To not do so is unprofessional, But having seen how a certain person. Likes to operate up there. The admission of non minuted meetings taking place doesn’t surprise In the slightest.
Don’t release minutes? They’re not a fan group then? You on about the Trust? Sounds like they’re in it for themselves or their egos otherwise what’s the point?
Lets be honest, no one gives a crap about these groups when the fans are asked if anyones interested to join… only voice up when things are bad on the pitch.
There was a request for people to sign up and thats what they did. I believe, and i could be wrong, but there wernt many applications actually sent in for the 3 or 4 groups that meet up.
I went to one of the Thursday Fan engagement presentations last season and there was around 15 people that turned up.
If you have any ideas or ways thr club could engage further with the fans, maybe volunteer your time. OR use this thread to suggest some (off pitch) changes.
Alternativly, speak with the Trust - they’re the only ones the club will engage with.
At arms length, when it suits them. And they haven’t exactly been fair with the Trust, either. The Trust have run the Xmas Christmas toy appeal for as many years as I can remember. Yet this year it was posted without any mention of them.
I have no problem with Trivela, or the Trust. Not everything is as you would like to think it is though.
Like anything, im sure the truth is somewhere in the middle.
All i know is that in the 29 years ive been a supporter ive never felt more connected and engaged with the club. There’s definately a lot of effort gone on behind the scenes. But if anyone has any good ideas post them and they will be seen.
Fan groups aren’t commentators on club events. Clubs shouldn’t need praise for doing their job and looking after Fans. I say fans because at times they are treated as customers who they know have emotional ties.
Supporter groups should be critical friends of the club. I’ve no loyalty to any fan group - but why say stuff behind closed doors to fan groups if you don’t want it public.
And sadly it’ll be a fan group who will be involved in the round up on Trivela and co when the day comes. Mainly because they shut the door.
I wish we could all operate in your football utopia where we love Div 4, don’t mind losing. Love shit football, swallow up club PR, go crazy at the initiatives and pop up bars. If only
