He will sink or swim water is a bit deeper than he probably thought …

Nothing on their website about him being sacked

I genuinely think that Flynn will rock up there.

First signing: Kinsella

Second signing could be DJ…

Osadebe they could stomach - but not when he tried to also get Ash Taylor.

At the moment it just says " reportedly."

TalkSPORT reporting sacking… couldn’t happen to a nicer man. Flynn could be straight in here and then find himself at his real level next season , National League, along with Osadebe

I actually thought they might give the female manager they had for a week in pre season a proper chance, she won’t do any worse than what they’ve been producing last few months.

Flynn will probably get it if he applies I guess. Local and his best work here was dragging a dysfunctional side safely up to mid table when he took over in Feb 2022, also did the same when he first took over at Newport.

Funnily enough his first game and win here was at Forest Green I think?

Similar to Newport, who I think had also been written off.

Always difficult to hold a job down when your head and mouth compete for what’s the biggest .

Reunited with Matt Stevens too. Might even get the band back together with Jamma! :grinning:

Deeney not up to it.

Christ knows what David Kelly was doing hooking up with him down there. A real blemish on a pretty good “number two” cv.

Perfect job for Flynn this. A backs to the wall “great escape” type thing where the players will love him on account of him not being Troy Deeney.

Deeney being sacked is excellent news for FGR - not so good for us as we still have to play them! Heard that Deeney got interviewed for the Walsall job and to be fair to our board they saw him for what he was. Can see Flynn going there now. Wasn’t Flynn’s first game for us a win against FGR away with Georgie Miller getting the winner? - hope we don’t see a reverse now with DJ netting the winner for an FGR team managed by Flynn!

Can definitely see Flynn going there

Signing Osadebe seemingly the straw that broke the camels back

A few days ago, i’d of said Flynn had no chance of a job in the football league. This might be the perfect fit for him to be honest.

Struggling team.
No expectations.
Timing is perfect.
Small budget ( a la Newport).

If it comes off, hes restored a bit of credibility after his failures here and at Swindon.

If not, he probably wont be seen as at fault and might even lead their NL campaign next year.

Tbh, all they had to do was watch / listen to his ‘punditry’ work on MOTD and the podcast thing he did with Defoe to realise what they were getting!:man_facepalming::joy:

Also location. If he still lives in the Newport area then Nailsworth is about a 1 hour drive away.
