So at that ratio he was poor clumsy and wasteful in 80 games of his 100?
Stats dont tell the whole story I’ve seen with my own eyes.
Like i said when hes good hes very good whens hes bad hes awful.
This is evidence you clearly don’t know what you’re on about
Just my opinion mate, i see he’s setting league 2 alight didnt make the squad yesterday.
Just like it was your opinion about possession stats lack of creativity and Sadsball and the squad.
Having this convo when he was here was mind boggling but to be having it when he’s left is just staggeringly mad.
But 80 shocking games out of 100…oh jeez
Last clause targeted at Jackson and Hutch, less so Scarr and Draper
If peel didn’t rate hutch he must have hated every single other player we had who were all statistically worse and on the eyes worse
Ok Mr Negative
I’m Not being negative now I’ve always praised hutch which I’m positive about
They can stick him up their arse
Good player for us but we seemed to have found an answer without him.
No. Every player needs a system around him and it didn’t work too well back then. Now there is something different and rebuilding everything in January is not worth the effort.
I’m inclined to agree @Michal
However, I’m a big fan of the phrase ‘starters’ and ‘finishers’ now that 5 subs are allowed.
Unlikely to happen anyway but I think we’ll need strengthening again in the January window, in order to really push for the play-offs (or even the automatic places!)
I hope Hutch gets his opportunity at the Gas - still very early days…
Strengthening yes, but Hutch no. Both club and player made some steps and are very apart.
No, we are a better team without him, everyone now is contributing, not having to rely on one player.
Plus who would you drop?
P.s telling Walsall fans too F*** Off made me lose respect for him.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of this thread since anyone posted on it .
Let’s leave it like that hey .
When’s Milan coming back
Absolutely not, we’re a much better team without him.
He was decent granted, but that was about it. The fact he isn’t making an impact in league 1 is no big shock.
Possible reasons for Walsalls good start to the season :-
-
An improvement in new GK
-
An improvement in new RWB
-
An improvement in forward areas
-
Ongoing development and improvement in young players such as Earring, Gordon, Allen, Stirk, Williams, Maher, McEntee, Okagbue all which make a stronger squad and able to cover injuries suspensions, form and different opponents individually and as a group.
-
Ongoing and consistent improved coaching from a staff that are / were still learning about the job, the players, the club and each other
-
A young manager who’s continued work which was showing some promise is now gaining more weight and consistency.
-
Started the season hitting the ground running with some good form and it’s early days yet and not hit a period or poor form (which all teams do 2/3 times a season)
-
Not played anyone yet who has also started the season well and / or has title winning / promotion aspirations.
Other reasons why Walsall have started the season so well :-
- They sold their Double PoY / Double top scorer / Double top Assister
We have no real idea why Hutchinson isn’t currently setting the world alight…but several possible reasons are :-
- May have had niggling injuries
- He’s had to uproot him and his girlfriend move out and move into a new property in a completely different part of the country where they know no one and nothing.
- He’s in a new team who also have 16 other players who have had to do the same as no 2.
- He could be in a different position and adjusting to a new style of play with new players who are also adjusting to him.
- Bristol may have had the complete opposite to us and hit the ground bobbling and haven’t found their best form and / or played several of the top teams so far.
- He may have had family or off field problems that no one knows about.
- League 1 might actually be a tougher league and take some adjusting to get up to speed with (particularly the same time as any of the above)
- The manager may be trying to work out how best to use him / motivate him / improve him.
- It may just be 7 games and he’s yet to find some form
Other reasons I guess could be :-
He’s not very good
Let’s just focus on the form we have and enjoy it….why is it we have to find something else to snigger about moan about or actually just be vindictive about?
Short memories some people. In respect of Hutchinson AND the form Walsall show from one month to the next.
It’s still September……
Are you Hutchinson’s Dad
Without wanting to put a dampener on things, this is a factor. How we contend with and break down the teams who emerge as the strongest and most consistent will be a real proof of how well we can finish this season, and that’s where we may miss the extra class IH gave us.
Why? Because I actually put forward some logical thought beyond thinking we’re better because of one reason?
