Yeah, he was linked with us a year or so ago actually, based on nothing more than “being from round here”. Probably around the time he joined Salford.

Went to school with him, albeit he was a few years below me. Done very well for himself. He is good friends with Dan Scarr and Kristian Green (ex Rushall captain) who he played with in non-league. Kristian also went to the same school.
My other half taught his daughter when he was playing for Blackpool and he has has some good moves since then (Rotherham, Wigan and now Salford) and I’d have thought would have earned some decent money.

Doesn’t show that at all. With no reserve games it makes sense for him to play an under 23 game. I expect he will play next Tuesday.

I hope so. With numerous important league games coming up in the next 3-4 weeks, we need to give a break to the likes of Lowe when we get a good chance.

I’d send him back in January not saying he couldn’t be a decent player but its a waste of a loan if he never gets a look in here.Lets try and get Freddie back instead.

Cleary alway looks to me like he’s carrying a bit of Timber there again he could be just big boned like me .
I always rated him when he was at Blackpool, he had a cracking game in a 0-0 draw in I think 18/19 so wouldn’t have minded signing him in those times but guess he’s happy in North West and Salford paying him a huge amount.

He’s pretty much already been sent back. Opens up another loan slot for a CF at least so interested what January brings with the club in a great league position for first time in ageeeessssss…
Cleary would be a much better option off the bench than ‘no goals, I’m a forward who wins throwins’ JG.
Nope sorry but in the style we play when we are at our best the forwards have to work their nuts off, don’t think that’s Clearys game, having said that I do think he looks like he could be a useful Lge 1/2 forward.
Hopefully he can help with our objectives this season.
