Former players - where are they now?

Terry Lobster scores for Northampton. Reyes Cleary for Hartlepool.

Yes Wacka said in the club shop earlier that Sir Ray had been ill. Looks well though looking @saddlerken picture! Don’t think Sir Ray would of approved to much of today’s performance

Ray would have ripped them a new arse hole after that!!

I have been fortunate enough to meet Sir Ray quite a few times. He used to pop in the Red Cow on his way back from work for a pint, and have a pint with my Dad. He randomly called me up one Saturday afternoon during preseason! You could listen to him talk about football forever.

I have never seen him dressed casually though; he always had a suit on!

Great to see him looking so well. We will always have those days in the memory bank.

Matt Taylor on pundit duty on ITV for Pompey-Leeds.

Finally got his first win as Solihull manager yesterday but even that wasn’t convincing, late winner at home to Ebbsfleet who are bottom and were playing with 10 men for much of second half so don’t think that will spark a winning run.

Preparing for his next career move…

Love this Ken.

Cleary was better than Amanchi and Wheatley I’d rather have kept him or had DJT back never thought I’d say that a couple of months ago.
People comparing Amanchi to Adebayo is nonsense as well one came from Bromley reserves the other a Premier league team there’s no comparison.

Thought Russell Martin was great on MNF last night

Looking likely that Luton will be relegated again to League 1. 1 nil down at Cardiff and Elijah only rated at 6.5, his ship has certainly sailed I would say

They’re showing a bit of spirit - now 1-1 (but still probably doomed)

And now 1-2 up at Cardiff (80 min) … too little, too late?

Reuben Reid scores Weston-Super-Mud’s 2nd goal away at somewhere…

Never understood that saying. Winning surely can’t be too little? They can’t do anymore, but it could indeed be too late.

Stoke getting relegated would be hilarious and I think looks an increasingly likely prospect with Luton and Derby winning today.

Hope Derby don’t quite make it as that would be a great away trip next season, never been to Pride Park and would get 3k allocation no problem in the corner.

I know this isn’t really on topic as such but it feels like a good place to post a little anecdote.

We were away at Derby. I had just started a new job (got sacked from the previous job for knocking days off to get to Walsall games several times) I had to work the Saturday and couldn’t really afford to take the risk.

I finished work at 2pm, went home, got a few beers and put the radio on for the afternoon’s football. Early in the second half my Dad phoned. “How we getting on Mark?” I said, hold up, you have gone to the game, I am at home" Apperently he bumped into an old friend and they had stayed in the pub rather than go to the match. It just tickled me, I’ve never forgotten it. One of many tales about my Dad. I don’t half miss him.

I have been to Pride Park since, though and also went to the Baseball Ground several times, which was an experience.

Had a mate that suppoted Derby and i went to the baseball ground with him. The lino that day was particularly small. At some point in the game he was flagging just in frount of us, when somebody’s voice rang out “Eye-ho”

He’ll no doubt find another victim to prey on very soon…

Silly season starting again, as clubs discover they’ve no chance of promotion or bound to get relegated
