This goal by Reyes Cleary is annoying:

I’d probably have him back in the summer if the opportunity arose as a permanent signing.

I think he would likely tell Sadler (if still in position) to do one.

That would only happen if Sadler leaves.

Why would Cleary come back to a manager who gave him three league sub appearances and then left him out of the squad permanently, and played Adomah as a striker in preference to him?

I understand your point and nobody knows, yet, what league we’ll be in and what manager will be in place, next year.

Personally, I think Adomah is underrated by a lot of Walsall fans and his contribution to the team this season has been huge.

However, Lowe was better than Cleary and, this year, Albert contributed more.

Next year, we won’t have Lowe and we probably won’t have Uncs.

Just like RAM, Cleary has had to get game time in non league to encounter men’s football, I suspect that Wheatley will need to play at a lower level to gain experience (somewhere else) next season, too.

Right now, it’s immaterial, but I would have Cleary, Bobby Kamwa and Sam Congreve (loan) on the radar as realistic early signings to strengthen our squad next season.

I rate Adomah very highly, and think he should have featured a lot more - but never as a striker.

Cleary played pretty well in the cup games, but was dropped from the squad completely.

Young players are always going to be disappointed when they are left out of the squad after what they believe was a good performance, and it is natural to feel snubbed. Perhaps Cleary has a generous and forgiving nature and does not hold this against Sadler, but it is more likely that he would not be willing to go to a club where the manager does not rate him.

Phil Parkes our former goalkeeper (you have to be as old as me to have seen him play for us!) is in hospital following surgery after an accident last week.

Think you’ve got your Phil Parkes’ mixed up - it’s the Wolves keeper?

OOps you’re right. wrong Phil Parkes.

Adomah wide right DJ through the middle promotion

Our Phil Parkes is, apparently, the only player to have played more than 300 games for two clubs. He was unlucky to have only 1 England cap.

Jamie Paterson scored a stunning last-minute winner for Coventry last night. First goal for the club in his fifth appearance.

The England goalkeepers were phenomenal at that time. Parkes, Corrigan, Clemence, Shilton .
