Gillingham

Currently playing Rotherham getting relegated on goal difference.

Shame.

Friend who is Gills fan says they are going down fighting.

Could do with Rotherham to win as it keeps MK out of the automatic spots.

That will be two nailed on 0-0 draws next season if the Gills drop.

Talk about flashbacks to 2004… Results as they are sends Gillingham down on goal difference, but a Gillingham goal pisses on Rotherham’s chips on the final day.

Talk about an impossible choice!

Looking like Sunderland v Sheffield Wednesday in the play offs. Tasty.

Gillingham 2-0 down now so that’s them gone. Rotherham back up once more.

Gerry Gillingham by any chance?

That’s a long journey which brings back memories of our relegation from the second tier / Championship (thanks to Colin Lee’s bizarre team selection for a crucial match there - they were down and out and Lee gave the Gills the leg up they needed).

That said we have a new ground to go to in the Womble’s smart new place now they’re back in Wimbledon.

Not half as bizarre as Bonser giving him permission to talk to Plymouth then sacking him for doing that. There’s a lot more to the story than Lee’s team selection for that game…especially given we were so close to the playoffs at Christmas.

Boring relegation.

Wimbledon coming down is interesting though, new ground to hopefully pick off next season if it’s a weekend game.

Shows how tough it is to make the jump to League 1 now. I remember Crewe dispatching us with ease last season without even getting out of 2nd gear and they finish bottom of division. Its amazing how long we spent bumbling around L1 mid table and now that seems such a huge leap.

Gillingham are an awful club with an awful owner,… unlucky

They did manage 12th last season. (Highest finish since 2006) They went up in the Covid shortened season.

Bomber Harris’ post match interview suggests the state of the club is in a right mess.

It is mate, right shower!

Going to be a bit like the championship when getting back there hopefully soon.

Sunderland-Sheff Weds as a play off semi final says it all and Portsmouth, Ipswich and Charlton all finished comfortably off the top 6.

Some cracking away days but a repeat of 15/16 would be miles off unless so many things come together.

Aye! Jeff was responsible for our downfall, not Lee.

I think if Neil Harris stays with them next season, they will be a top 7 team.
