Latest match thread… :thread:

Will Liam Gordon make it back in time to be able to recover enough to play in this? Another full 90 for Guyana today - creamed 5-1 by Suriname. Looks like he played in midfield again and managed to get himself booked.

Jackson Smith has had his emergency loan spell at Grimsby extended by 7 days. Looks like he will be keeping goal against us on Saturday.

Not meaning to criticise, Simon, but a little less verbose and a little more concise would be good

The most to the point match thread of all time
Good man

Surley there is someone out there with a bit of spare time retired maybe who can do these match threads with a bit of information.
Even if it was just half as good as welsh Sadler used to do so brilliantly

Any chance of a comeback welsh ?

I don’t think that Simon deserves any needle over this.

Sew it begins.

Eye was only pulling his pisser

Not giving Simon any needle. Just pin pointing that I used to really enjoy welsh’s match thread and I hope someone could take up the challenge.

We’ve had some very good match previewers over the years. It was Duke when I first joined (I believe that sadly, he passed away a few years ago), followed by Welsh and then Rob.
All big shoes to fill.
Used to enjoy it when Exile ran live match commentary a few years ago, before the ageof the ifollow/firestick / dodgy box streaming services

The way this thread is running, we’re at cross purposes i believe.

Jet-lag, loss of momentum , bit of heard turning/tapping up thrown in with a long coach journey leads to almost certain defeat. Be impressed with Sadler if he can get a result here. We never seem to do well after these silly breaks.

It’s going to be humdinger of a game, 4 red cards 8 yellows, with a 5:4 Walsall win .
