Grimsby Town (A) - League Two - Sat 19th Oct, 3.00pm

You can’t really fault Simpkin for that it’s practically a feckin rugby tackle. Ref should be struck off for allowing that.

Jesus.

That second half was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

A thing of beauty. Some lovely football. Some sumptuous goals.

And then we decide to pass it back to Simkin giving him a mere 15 yards of time and space.

He’s had literally nothing to do and still conceded.

You wonder if the cones score in training.

However. Back to this second half. Four lovely goals. Brilliant from Hall for the fourth.

A superb performance. A great result against a good fourth division team. The wheels are well and truly back on.

We do need a goalkeeper though. We ain’t gonna score four every week.

Astonishing decision.

That’s a ridiculous challenge, I’ll upload it in a bit but this ref is endangering the safety if that is a yellow

You are right…who is this idiot?

DJ has to have a really good goal per min ratio this season surely? Happy for him!

Red?

Some of the criticism of Simkins is valid. But unless you say he should have anticipated the ref letting someone rugby tackle him, he’s not to blame for that goal.

Yes it is.

But if he had just cleared it, it wouldn’t be a discussion.

What a great result. I said I thought the rest would do us a world of good

100% red card. The refereeing there is embarrassing. The ball is hardly in the same frame of the screen at the moment of impact.

That’s a brilliant result, Grimsby looked decent at times and we still blew them away.

We just have genuine pace and energy going forward, something we’ve lacked for years.

Wow, it’s worse than I thought.

Absolutely abysmal referee.

Lovely move

But if he just clears it every time it comes back it makes a fundamental change to our style of play and turns over possession more often. Simple fact the ref has had a shocker with that and it’s not the keepers fault. Definite foul.

Adomah has been a superb addition on the pitch but what looks like hugely off the pitch too. They all know each other and trust one another and it’s showing.

crazy isn’t it. 4-1 and the ref disallowed us a goal for a questionable foul, their goal was an obvious foul and now allows that assault to be a yellow.

He had no less time and space he often has from a backpass. If you’re saying he should have booted that without looking, you’re saying he should do that at least 8/10 times.

You’re right. And I’m not saying he has to pump it upfield every time, but imo that could have been avoided - foul or not. He could have played it wide to the right. Him trying to cut it back is a poor decision on his part and cost us a cleansheet.
