Notice given is only a week now compared to three months previously
I imagine the Port Vale game on 5th April might go to a 12.30 tv game
I’ve held off booking my bromley train tickets -can the games move to a different day or is it just the kick off time?
I believe it’s a rolling 4 weeks.
I think there was talk of a possibility of games moving to evening midweek kickoffs.
That’s another gate about 1k down.
Just 7 of our 15 home games so far this season have been Saturday 3pm kick offs and i doubt too many of the 8 still to be played will be. I would estimate gates are 700- 1000 down for early kick off/ midweek games. I hope that financial its worth it cos from a fans enjoyment point of view its not.
AFC Wimbledon one too.
Are you both right? They’re announcing them weekly, rather than in blocks, but a month in advance?
Surely this is the more likely case. You cant be moving fixtures that are 7 days away , takin the absolute pish if they are.
I’d have thought that 7 days notice wouldn’t be viable in terms of policing?
Yeah essentially this time next week they’ll announce changes to games the week after Grimsby.
Early kick offs may not affect home game attendances too much for home supporters but for away games especially ones that are quite a distance away it might make some fans more likely to give those games a miss.
Yes, they’re announcing them weekly but we get 4 weeks notice ahead of the game.
So announcements this week are for 1st week in March, next week will be 2nd week in March, following week 3rd week in March etc.
Yes, that’s what I meant by a rolling 4 weekly.
They’ll be announcing every week from now on but with 4 weeks notice till the actual game.
I suppose it’s so they’re more likely to choose games that are in the promotion / relegation contention.
How are you defining ‘too much’. For some It the difference between being able to attend or not.
It’s a piss take in my opinion.
Fortunately for me it doesn’t stop me from attending, but it still annoys me.
I probably won’t bother with a season ticket next season because of it.
Don’t really mind the 12:30 home games.
Makes away games slighty worse as not much time before the game to have a drink after travelling there.
