Who exactly do you think he was referring to when he says “there was an edginess about the place, and we just need to get rid of that. We’re at our best when everyone is on the same page, pulling in the same direction. For me everything needs to come back to that, and also recognise the fantastic season we have had so far”.
If that’s not directly towards the fans, I’m not sure what is.
Yes, our owners spent 8 figures this winter on a different football club to ours after putting our prices up exponentially two years on the trot, and apparently that’s hunky dory you asked
Because the fans have been outstanding all year, and had f*** all to do with the abysmal display today. It’s a shit attempt at deflecting blame to the people who actually paid to watch that shite.
If you think it wasn’t a dig, then I think you are wrong.
I don’t feel offended, I just feel deflated about it all at the moment, I’m not looking for anyone to blame, it just hurts.
I could easily be offended though. The sacrifices we make as a family to follow Walsall, I would be embarrassed to post on here to be honest. He will be off on his holidays in a few months time regardless, I can’t remember the last time we had a family holiday, it all goes on following Walsall. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I am 100% certain there are many others who do similar. He must understand the frustration. It is just a deflection from his clear inability to adjust and adapt, in my opinion.
Carry on and say what he wants. Get the job done before “doing a Walsall” ends up in the Oxford Dictionary.
Yep. There’s a difference between being offended and thinking somebody is talking absolute bollocks. But easier to call somebody else a snowflake than to actually debate that it’s a tactic that rolls over into many debates unfortunately.
He didn’t blame the fans for the defeat did he? It’s more - as i said - a plea for support through the final stretch. That’s how i interpreted it. As i said he’s been very complimentary about the fans in pretty much every post match interview. Someone commented he’s blamed the fans for our dip in form since January. I see no evidence of him saying that.
Anyway you do you. Move on.
I mean, he clearly mentioned the atmosphere as a factor. Before addressing things like, you know, giving away pens or poor substitutions, or even poor style of play, or a complete lack of tactical direction, so I’m not sure how you’re not reading him as blaming the defeat on that to be honest
