Grimsby Town (H) March 8th, kick-off 12.30pm

Who exactly do you think he was referring to when he says “there was an edginess about the place, and we just need to get rid of that. We’re at our best when everyone is on the same page, pulling in the same direction. For me everything needs to come back to that, and also recognise the fantastic season we have had so far”.

If that’s not directly towards the fans, I’m not sure what is.

Yes, our owners spent 8 figures this winter on a different football club to ours after putting our prices up exponentially two years on the trot, and apparently that’s hunky dory :joy: you asked :man_shrugging:

Oh yea that’s really having a massive pop, really offensive.
People need to harden up a bit if their upset at those words, very sad..

You didn’t answer the question.

Which question?
This?

Team, whole club fanbase? Who cares it’s plainly not a dig and not offensive.
If you think it is there’s no hope…

Because the fans have been outstanding all year, and had f*** all to do with the abysmal display today. It’s a shit attempt at deflecting blame to the people who actually paid to watch that shite.

Apart from that though, it’s sound :+1:t3:

Hahahaha ok mate. No point continuing.

I’ve just clutched my pearls, screamed and now fear an attack of the vapours. How dare that ruffian Sadler be so beastly to us!.

If you think it wasn’t a dig, then I think you are wrong.

I don’t feel offended, I just feel deflated about it all at the moment, I’m not looking for anyone to blame, it just hurts.

I could easily be offended though. The sacrifices we make as a family to follow Walsall, I would be embarrassed to post on here to be honest. He will be off on his holidays in a few months time regardless, I can’t remember the last time we had a family holiday, it all goes on following Walsall. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I am 100% certain there are many others who do similar. He must understand the frustration. It is just a deflection from his clear inability to adjust and adapt, in my opinion.

Carry on and say what he wants. Get the job done before “doing a Walsall” ends up in the Oxford Dictionary.

Yep. There’s a difference between being offended and thinking somebody is talking absolute bollocks. But easier to call somebody else a snowflake than to actually debate that :man_shrugging: it’s a tactic that rolls over into many debates unfortunately.

A blind donkey could see it was a veiled dig at the crowd reaction at half time and at the end.

If we do somehow manage to finish in the top 3; major concerns over next season. The style of football is shite, and we are so one dimensional.

He didn’t blame the fans for the defeat did he? It’s more - as i said - a plea for support through the final stretch. That’s how i interpreted it. As i said he’s been very complimentary about the fans in pretty much every post match interview. Someone commented he’s blamed the fans for our dip in form since January. I see no evidence of him saying that.
Anyway you do you. Move on.

Apparently not :man_shrugging:

Oh, we were crap alright. Just dont think Sadlers comments merit pushing the 'never-been-so-offended" button.

Absolute bastard didn’t even wave!!
I’ll await the report of the body language experts before expressing some more outrage!!!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I mean, he clearly mentioned the atmosphere as a factor. Before addressing things like, you know, giving away pens or poor substitutions, or even poor style of play, or a complete lack of tactical direction, so I’m not sure how you’re not reading him as blaming the defeat on that to be honest :man_shrugging:

I don’t think anyone is offended - just laughing at the fact that comment was even made.

I note Sadler didn’t really talk about we hoofed it, the tactics, subs and in game management as well.

Already addressed.

Not true actually. Go back to, say, October or November last season, let’s have it right.

I’m not sure I agree about how strong a position we are in either. Not based on how we are playing and have been for a long time now.

It’s probably best I log off for the night. Even with all the results going for us today, I just feel so deflated.
