Harrogate Town (H) Friday 18th April, 3pm

Enjoy. I wont be watching it.

I agree about Harrison. It was Matt’s hold-up play that created the equaliser and STIRK’S assist.

Nope. This is a response to those taunts.

We are shite.

Where to start with today?

Oh I know - Harry Williams, miraculously fit again. Funny that isn’t it?

Doesn’t show Sadler in a bad light at all does it? Obviously the situation regarding Williams was clearly ridiculous and someone had to have a word in Sadlers ear. Minus 1 point for Sadler, and the game hasn’t even kicked off yet.

We start pretty well, get a goal, get our noses in front and within ten minutes we are camped in our own half, missing every single header, 3rd to every 2nd ball and hoofing the ball to no one in particular. What do we see from Sadler? Some instruction? Some alteration of the shape? No, but we do see some fantastic arms folded looking pensive. It’s only the 20th time this has happened Mat, you take your sweet time to work out what’s going on.

Or shall I tell you? Without Lowe, we have no out-ball, nor do we have anyone who can hold up the ball. Some say Jamille Matt can do that, but in order to “hold up the ball” you have to first get to the ball, control it, hold off the oppo then bring a teammate in to play. Sadler still hasn’t spotted this. Granted, we came nowhere near to replacing Lowe in January, but it’s up to Sadler to work out what is going wrong and how to fix it. Another negative mark for Mr Arms Folded.

We then progress in to the 2nd half and he waits until the 64th (?) minute to make a change, and guess what? He makes the wrong one. We were lacking bite in midfield, and Jamille Matt was honking up front - failing to control the ball, falling over, anything but do something constructive for the play. So what does Sadler do? Take off the one forward with movement, the one likely to get on the end of something. Another black mark Mr Sadler.

Wait another 10 mins, and we are near enough the 80th minute and he finally does the thing that could actually influence the game - brings on Chang to give us some quality in midfield, Adomah to give us some quality out wide. It’s all too late though, so Mr Arms Folded does some angry folding of his arms and looks concerned.

We scrape a draw, against a poor side, and what does Sadler say in his post match presser? That Harrogate were lucky - f*cks sake Mat, we are ragged at the back. They hit the post twice, and had nothing to play for - is that bad luck? I’d say we were the lucky ones as a decent side would’ve put us to the sword and caused you to un-fold your arms for a change:

I echo the sentiments of others who say how exhausting it is at the moment - the club have messed this opportunity up so badly I can’t bare to think about it. The implications for the next decade of the football club are too large to comprehend - does anyone realise how hard this is going to be to shake off? Anytime we come anywhere near having a decent season - this campaign will always be there, nagging away at fans, players and staff.

You don’t just bounce back from a failure like this - you see wholesale reconstruction. It’s back to square 1. Obviously Sadler doesn’t survive - but having nailed their colours to the Sadler mast, what do Trivela do? Find another mug great at folding his arms, but crap at organising a defence?

I blame Sadler first and foremost - he had the tools to complete the job, even though admittedly Trivela and the board didn’t give him much help in January - any manager with a modicum of quality would’ve cruised us across the finishing line.

Then I blame Trivela - when it became clear that Sadler was losing his way (about mid March) they should’ve stepped in and saved the season whilst they still could. Now we have to win 2 of the last 3 to stand a chance, when it’s taken us 18 games to get our last 2 wins.

Absolute bottle job club - Bottle Job FC they should call us. Did we actually want promotion? Cos actions speak louder than words and the actions suggest they’d be delighted to finish 8th.

Wuckfits.

Having been the “hunted” for so long given how far ahead we were, does he genuinely thinks it’s positive that we are still in the “hunt”or is that him acknowledging that he is surprised we are, given how shite we have been.

I think he is delusional.

We don’t need division between us a fans, some people seem to thrive on it.

Plenty of people were goading anti-sadler supporters, especially Thantos all the way to January so they can standby to be taunted back.

Some posters never wanted Sadler to do well and are actually happy with us doing poorly. The draw would have hurt some people today.

How does this feel compared to after that Derby win in 2004, realistically having done enough to stay up but then totally balls it up?
At least that was quick and less painful, this has dragged on for so long

Part of Mat’s interview “it would’ve been easy just to lump it in there and hope something falls for you” talking about the way we went about the game towards the end. Sorry Mat most of the time all we do is LUMP it!!

5 mins before he came off.. probably saw players warming up and rallying himself from criticism.

Perhaps it might give him an indication that if 7,000 fans can see the problems why can’t he?
He continues to live in the dreamworld of his one man team pre Xmas.
Continues to play Matt up front, despite his current ineptitude due to age related exhaustion.
Folk think we can go to Wales on Monday in a positive mood, what will we all feel like an hour before the game when he picks the same old same old, and leaves out those who improved our last 15 minutes, knowing we will lose again.

I genuinely don’t believe that.

I never wanted Sadler but I was loving it when we were flying. Changed my mind completely.

I’m very sorry though, too many people were calling others ridiculous/disgraceful etc for suggesting it was worth looking at moving on, because “we are still top” hows that working out? When it was really clear he had no idea how to change our fortunes.

I can’t for the life me imagine anyone didn’t want us to get promoted. Certainly not me, it has scarred me for life this lot. Not sure I will ever get over it.

I’m not on about that, that’s obvious and I agree.

Can I get what you mean about what he did with the fans, his reaction and what you expected him to do at the end?

Haven’t and won’t watch it, but i can get the jist of what he has said. The usual claptrap.

Is that what he fookin said?!

For christ sake we were 12 point clear and pissing it.

That sounds like it some sort of achievement to be “in the hunt” now.

Yes but in the case of Hall, we have been having to ask Blues permission to play him, and for how long.

I assume the same for Chang.

I’m sorry, but that’s no way to run a football club.
