I wish we could do the Laurel and Hardy theme tune when the stewards walk past or police… used to make me all happy and was always so funny that I used have a little bit of wee escape

We’ve also sung “it’s just like watching The Bill” as the police have walked past before. Very funny.

I’ve gone to the trouble of contacting the SLO to see if any of the ideas I put forwards could be implemented. Some, such as improving the pre-match music, distributing song sheets and some new songs, theme days (vicars and tarts, P Party, local legends), Walsall FC choir should be able to be implemented with little cost or effort.

You were doing so well, now you’ve jumped the shark.

I went to a CD Tenerife match a few years ago
And they actually give the home fans a microphone and it is linked to the sound system inside the ground, the atmosphere was electric
Can you imagine doing that here? :joy:

Scrap the walkout music.

Like in the Street End fans sing “Bring on the Saddlers” Then when the players walk out throw all the ripped up song sheets up in the air.

If anything loud music ruins any chance of an atmosphere building. There’s been some games where the fans have tried to sing when the players are warming up and some shit is drowning out the fans.

As for song sheets, it ay bloody church!

What it needs is fans actually belting out the songs. The amount of times I see fans singing the songs under their breath. Not really gonna raise the volume is it?

For the big games balloons, was well received ( was going to say went down well ) when the trust did it.

Thought it was blown up out of all proportion

That’s just your inflated opinion.

Literally the only way we’d get a consistent atmosphere. Would be like an away game & how the old terrace used to be

No loyalty to the lower and it’s certainly the worst place acoustically for us singings to be.

Biggest myth going. Noise has been poor at the bescot even when we’ve been decent. I vividly remember Richard Money telling us to be more vocal at home during either the L2 season or once we got promoted & it was never anything special in the promotion challenging Smith season either.

Ultimately it’s been crap (bar the odd game) since we added the upper tier

It isnt the stand. Its that not enough fans sing.

Of course but a low roofed away end trumps by a mile. You can literally hear sub 100 Harrogate fans chanting.

I know bigger clubs have orchestrators , blokes who face the fans, start the songs and virtually conducts the singers.
Do we have these guys ?

I must just say I’m doing my bit but I do get a few weird looks though a couple of pints and I sound like Vic Reeves in “the pub style “

I think they should just hand out canisters of Nitrous Oxide at the turnstile
