If we bottle this……

And don’t get promoted, I don’t think I could get over it. I’d retire from supporting football I think :joy:

It would have to be one of the biggest instances of bottling in football surely?

It would be up there with being as bad as being relegated to horrible league , A total disaster

Same mate. It would break me. After 18 years of disappointment I don’t think I could ever be hopeful about Walsall again.

I’d never go again it would be it for me

Laughing stock

Wolves bottled an 11 point lead a fair few years ago, missed out on auto promotion and then were knocked out of the play offs by Albion

It won’t be forgotten by our rivals for a very long time, I know that

Think the way we are playing , team selection and confidence lack of , I think we have bottled it

Fair lol

Looks more “when” than “if” atm,

Can’t believe I’m saying that after where we were.

Very much in the bottling phase atm, January has arrived we look weaker others look stronger

I don’t think I would bother next year if we did bottle it.

Just… cannot comprehend it.

We are NOT going up simple, wouldn’t win in play offs and we will not go up automatic

Why did we sign these players if they aren’t deemed good enough? None of them are getting a game so far some not even a place on the bench!!

If we do bottle it there’ll be no way back for Mat with supporters and possibly the board too

…Many wont trust the board/Trivela again.

Naive at best of BS to say what he did about January and personally, should be held accountable for that statement.

Theres no way we exited January stronger than we went in.

I also accept there was no way we’d replace Lowe.

What i did expect was probably one more permanent signing, a bit of cash (not extortinate amounts) being chucked at it perhaps and a bit more experience.

We found ourselves, for the majority of our business, scratting around on deadline day for kids that come highly regarded - yet cant get a look in on the matchday squad. MS insistence on one of his favourites being utilised in Midfield over all else. HE IS A FOOKIN CB MAT.

Oh and our earlier business…

Whether Wheatley is out of his depth/raw or not. Looks like that experiment has soon gone to pot (unless im missing something about him not being involved tonight and on Comms).

Asiimwe is another, that cant get anywhere near the bench.

An utter bloody shambles at the moment. My main issue is that MS doesnt have a spine. Won’t gamble until its too late and even then he doesnt necessarily correct the piss poor team selection he chose to start the games recently.

We ay getting top 3 unless something drastically changes and in my opinion, it aint gonna.

Id stop going and concentrate on my own passions

I’ve just got back from Spain and had a great paragliding holiday. I’ve been wanting to post Wednesbury round song that I was belting out at 8 thousand ft… think I’ll save it for another time

I’d been on a 2 year exile from attending, due to losing the bloke who I’d spent 25 years going religiously with, and finding it hard to come back without that. Plus living a couple of hours away, I took some time out to watch from a distance.

Dragged back out of the exile in December because of how good things were, finally. But if we bottle this, I’ll honestly struggle to find the drive to come back again.

Bottling this would be far more damaging to the club than our last relegation, in my opinion. I’m lucky to be old enough to remember 98/99 and everything since but there are too many people who’ve never seen a Walsall side go up. We’re one of the only teams not to be promoted in this long. It’ll be a cruel blow.
