Is 5,000 our glass ceiling?

I would have thought that we need to increase revenue if we are going to be competing in L1 next season.
The example of £1.3 m might need to become £2m

I’m sure they do publish the at the same time

I know they probably won’t but prices should be frozen, aim to add another 1,000 season ticket holders

Probs be almost 4,000 then?

A rise of 5%+ is inevitable. Remember button counters are in charge. They know the price of everything (cash excepted) but the value of nothing.

Drop the price of the early bird and raise the price of the normal season ticket but offer a credit based ticket system at the same time.

Could add it to membership, turn up on the day, claim a ticket at 10% reduction and you won’t have to fork out massive amounts of money immediately. Sells more memberships gains a slight improvement in revenue for people who wouldn’t be buying one anyway.

Eg. I put £100 on my membership and I claim back 3 tickets in the upper and then two in the family stand and once I get my money up again I can top up. I’m making a saving and I’m still going to games. Pay as you go membership… Likely then I will think about saving up a little for next year’s early bird… Thoughts on that?

What also must be considered is if you can get let’s say an extra 1000-1500 season tickets sales for next season by slightly reduced prices the match day revenues increase considerably over the course of a season from food and drink sales merchandise etc.

Unfortunately I don’t think Trivela think that way, based on experiences so far. And that isn’t a dig at them, things at the Club are significantly better. I am expecting a hefty rise if I am honest.

That January Window with only 1 starter and 1 sub signed needs to be taken in to consideration

We’d hammer Bonser for that sort of recruitment so just because they’ve refurbed the Saddlers and got some snazzy American beers on tap do we brush over January ?

The lack of involvement with ISSA WST and other groups has been talked to death. Some are happy emailing Graham.

But they’ve pointed the ship in the right direction. That cannot be denied.

The one just gone or last year?

1 out 10 must try harder.

Shoot themselves in the foot if so

I bet they’re amazed our home attendances are still as shite as they are

Any major hike will just stunt the clubs growth instead of striking whilst the iron is hot, as we know it’s a poor old town man.

I agree with you. I wasn’t saying what I think should happen, just what I think will.

The comment at one of the fans’ forums, where they said season ticket sales were down but they made more money, says a lot about how they think about things.

You have got the skill to moan about anything. Que the league win and stretch comes in … “yeah, but its only league 1 though. The leagues rubbish. We should be in the championship” yawn yawn yawn!

If we get promoted, there’s no way prices will stay the same. The cost of competing in League One is a lot higher. Yes, we’ll get some bumper away gates but we need the baseload in cashflow.

@BillyBescot im saying what you have said on other threads. Looks like we agree ? It is strange. I agree with you.

Just weird… not bemoaning it… if we win, i couldn’t care less who plays.

I can take a defeat as long as we put our best foot forward and give ourselves the best possible chance of successes. Strange windows like January aren’t a sign of this and team selections ratify the view. As does your view of a weird set of signings.

I think we should be out of this division. Consolidated in L1.

The pessimist voice in my head got me checking play off dates this morning. On the website I found this snippet of info. Combined, the base grant and solidarity payment amounts to just over £400k more for being in L1 compared to L2.

I am sure we’ll need to factor in more income to cover player wages at L1 level but I hope the club get the balance right between pitching Season Ticket prices at an affordable level and wanting to boost take-up numbers. I would like to see ST prices frozen as the recent hike was a heck of a leap for many of us. If the club can work on converting say 500+ more STs, building the pool of the more “occasional” fan base and continue developing commercial revenues to keep a lid on ST costs, that would be preferable.

Let’s also not forget the Sky deal that the clubs couldn’t wait to take. Sure, every club gets it but it would be nice if at least a little of it was given back to the fans. It can’t all be, take, take, take.

A small rise would be acceptable, but if they take the mick it could cost them.
