No reason for doom and gloom at all currently 1.375 points per game win today and it’s 1.555, before last week was 1.571. So if this keeps up we’re looking at between 64 and 71 points for the season. Obviously still early days, but a promising start for Saddler. No, I’m not including cup games or last season as they’re different things.
What is it that threatens you so much you can’t just see it as an alternative opinion, often substantiated with some thought in an articulate manner?
Ah hang on……I’ve answered my own question.
You see you cant see it can you….you can’t see that the alternative you dismiss, is actually the bleeding obvious and maybe your view might be a little more convoluted and spurious?
Like maybe….just maybe…Sadler and the staff have ALL the information available and are actually doing the bleedin obvious…?
I doubt it very much. We’ll see.
What a particularly ill-informed, nasty, vindictive thing to say about a) one of our own players who works his guts out every week to be the best he can be and b) a professional footballer who is already in the top 2% of people who even play the game which is by very definition at the very top end of all footballers.
He’s worked since he was 8 to make it in the nastiest most ruthless competitive industry in the world and has achieved more than any of us can even dream of. Not only that Matt is renowned as being one of the THE most genuine nice helpful and professional people in the game and I’m pretty sure he has an impact on other players and people at the club regardless of how he plays on a Saturday.
Give him the credit he’s earned.
He’s been professional for 15 years. Working his way up from non league.
That’s really pretending.
Last season is different for Sadler definitely and he has made this point several times, trying to separate what has gone before and what is happening now.
As a fan with an emotional attachment, it isn’t as easy to separate I would say when you have suffered some real lows and very few highs over several years. Not saying it is right or even intentional but it all gets moulded into one at times I think.
I’m not really up or down about any of it at the moment. In the moment after games thoughts and emotions may say differently but overall still waiting to see which way the season will go.
Plus Stockport
Can’t help yourself can you? Patronising to the N’th degree. Every opinion degraded as if the need for admonishment can only be fulfilled by your super ego.
Can you not spot the slightest sly touch/suggestion of humour/provocation in some posts? Or is that beyond your super sense of superiority over others?
How wrong of me to have been a successful industrialist, employing hundreds in my time and only having the 8 letters after my name, such an ill-informed nasty vindictive dumb ass. Oh hang on I’ve answered my own question. No more need for any further admonishment, humbly sir I tuck at my forelock in the presence of such an authoritarian superstar!
Up the Saddlers…he’s even picked DJ today, wonders will never cease!
Right back at ya fella
Nope. Just challenged a different opinion that’s all.You don’t like that. It’s called a discussion unless one of us has nothing to offer in return.
Ditto.
Quite what that has to do with it is beyond me….unless you thought I was saying you were showing no signs of being highly qualified industrialist? Weird.
Good You’ve seen the light.
I think I told you that he would
Good he has picked him at last then, lets hope he scores otherwise it’s splinters in the bum after today!
Gloomy

No reason for doom and gloom at all currently 1.375 points per game win today and it’s 1.555, before last week was 1.571. So if this keeps up we’re looking at between 64 and 71 points for the season. Good point and a good way to be looking at things. His job is to get WFC out of Division 4 via promotion.
If my maths is correct, after today we are now 1.2 ish points per game and if that continues we will finish with 1 more point than last season. It doesn’t prove or disprove anything of course but based on what I have seen we will be lucky to get 60 points this season. Concede too many goals.
I’ll start with the positives which for me were Owen Evans, Draper and Oteh.
Apart from that - a disaster.
Taylor should be playing in a back 3. McEntee can play midfield but he’s better in the back 3. So team selection wrong.
After Swindon our main aim should have been to start on the front foot and not concede early. Then we concede after 6 minutes and look rubbish. First shot I remember was Hutch hitting the bar about 30 minutes in.
Didn’t see enough of the sending off but Taylor and Foulkes both struggling in defence so no surprise it was one of them.
Then when we do equalise we give it away - just Iike Blackburn. This team just seem naive.
Two bad injuries to PF and Osh. PF a good player but he didn’t have a good injury record at Newport. We should have kept Manny.
Ref was terrible.
Sadler has got to learn quickly else things will get nasty and we’re down to the bare bones in defence. Fearful for the next few matches.
I’ve got a horrible feeling we are in big trouble. Sadler is obsessed with playing 3-5-2 and my guess is that the preferred 3 were Hussey, Daniels and the Priest.
That’s gone out the window and potentially we’ve also lost McEntee and I believe Dave is also out for an extended period. Whatever the reason we’ve ended up like this I think the next few matches are going to be very tough ……. More square pegs etc !
Slow incremental…BS
…and yep.
We might get promoted by 2035 at this rate
Relegation is far more realistic than promotion
I’ve said before on here, I am 58 and currently have very little confidence or belief that I will see us in League One again in my lifetime based on the last 5 years…just to balance this statement I have no intention of going anywhere yet.
I like Evans, and he has already won us several points this season, but he was poor yesterday. Should have done better with the first and third.
