Again you fail to answer, on what basis you think Rose is a good signing?
He is the product of Southamptons academy. Their U23 team won the league last season conceding fewer goals than any other team. He is regarded as a very good prospect. And DC rates him.but you are amuch better manager than Clarrke so you must be right.
Saying that this is ‘the wrong type of signing’ and it’s ‘the worst signing so far’ is a bit premature though don’t you think? He’s about as experienced as Etheridge, O’Donnell and MacGillivray when they signed and they all turned out to be good keepers. Judge him after he’s played a bit and then you can either label him as good or bad business.
Personally, I’d take him over Joe Murphy but what would I know seeing as I’m an idiot

Joe Murphy has signed for Shrewsbury. If you hadn’t noticed they play in League 1. How do you think we could persuade him to drop down a league?

Goalkeepers tend to develop later in life than outfield players. They also stay in the game longer.
