Welcome James ā¦ but whereās the striker? If we intend to rely on the useless Pressley and the anonymous Dallas to score goals, we may as well write off this season now. I hope Sodje has something to offer in the scoring department.

True, I have given him a fair amount of stick in the past, but he is making me eat my words the way heās started the season, just hope he keeps it up.
Welcome James. This seems a decent signing, a player with some experience. I am not entirely sure I understand why he is seen to be better than Harper, but we shall see how it turns out.
Big reason why I think harper wasnāt fancied by grant is that Hancock is being used so much in our build up he had more touches than any other player on sat and harper would hate that he was a decent defender but wasnāt great on the ball at all
I know Hancock divides opinion but his quality on the ball is the reason why the players trust him and why I suspect we have brought furlong in is heās ability on the ball
He played a fair bit for Wimbledon in their promotion season. Was in and out of the squad towards the end, then had a hamstring injury that kept him out from March onwards.
Bags10 and RedandWhite - I stand by my comments about Pressley. I did not see the Bristol City match (where he may have actually played well, I donāt know) but I have seen both of the other games and I have seen no quality in his game, apart from that flashing header at Gillingham (which was good!). His first touch is very poor and, despite his height, he cannot head the ball under pressure from opponents. His passing is equally poor. Coupled with his dire performances, last season, I have seen nothing yet to make me change my mind. He needs to respond to some inspired coaching from Lee Grant (who, apparently, prefers coaching strikers!) or else be replaced. As for Dallas, he is hardly ever in the game and has contributed very little, so far this season. Together, Pressley and Dallas must be the most ineffective strike force in the Football League. The rest of the team has shown promise but where are the goals going to come from?
I have only seen the Grimsby game so far, but with a more alert striker I think we win that game Saturday. Sure, Pressley has been more effective than he was last season (low bar) But he doesnāt have the instinct of a striker, to me.
I donāt care, as long as he goes the extra mile for us!!
I thought he was brilliant away at Gillingham. A real menace and he had pace either side of him which worked. I think heāll be more effective away from home than at home. We do need another striker but pressley will fit into grant system.

Thought he looked tidy last
I thought he struggled early on, seemed to be way out of position several times. Grew into the game though and did look decent in the end.
I thought he got isolated 2-on-1 a few times because Smith was more likely to drift inside than track back and help out his fullback (in contrast to Albert who nearly always came back to assist Browne).
