Did you notice he called it Bess Scott, rather that the Walsollian best cut
We need to get him a yamyamasaurus

I work around there for my sin’s. Don’t, don’t, don’t use the A34 until the vanity games are over
Not my usual route of choice.
Had been diverted there by Tomtom to avoid a 20 minute delay between J6-J7 on the M6. Ended up doubling my delay to 40 minutes.
Ain’t technology great.
Where do you travel from mate to watch home games just curious well nosey
Timbuktu?
I’ll cross them over you tap them in Sid
I wasn’t at the game but did see the highlights, good performance against a Premiership side, it will be a tougher test against Villa.
I thought the pitch looked superb, better than I’ve seen it for many years. Well done to the grounds crew for all their hard work.
Can’t wait for August 7th!
Two other points that I don’t think have been mentioned yet:
Both teams took the knee before kick off. Universal applause from just about all supporters, not a single boo.
The plaque to the fans who left their money in drew lots of attention. It’s on the other side of the entrance to the covered area beneath the Homserve from the 125 commemoration. Like the 3rd shirt it contains the names of everyone who helped out the club by not claiming a refund. Had a good look but couldn’t see Bonser’s name on there …
Was there any mention of the attendance?
Think that’s three places at the ground plus the shirt that have got my name on. Which is actually very lovely.
Might just tell the kids not to bother with the brick when I pass on. Don’t want to over do it. Or maybe I do.
Are you sure? Old Wilfred is on record as saying the knee isn’t fit for purpose. Has he changed his mind?
Loudest applause of the day
I’m sure both sides did it. Can’t say 100% that Zaha didn’t remain standing as I don’t recall specifically looking at him to see what he did, but no one caught my eye by being the odd one out - looked like all 22 + officials to my casual glance.
Nice to be able to buy a programme paying by CASH! I fear eventually that facility will end and be cashless or gift card. A decent enough effort for £2 as a smaller issue in content but good features on the new boys. However spotted two mistakes… says we appeared at Wembley for the first time in 1915 and apparently we play at the Bank’s Stadium!
Perhaps we turned up then!
On the highlights looks like everyone was on a knee and yes, nice big applause!
Wasn’t there a story doing the rounds that we’d played a league match at Wembley when one of the London clubs, possibly Palace, were using it as a temporary home?
This taking of the knee: I am fully in favour but I think that, in similar fashion to clapping the NHS, it has its time. That is, there should be a point where we say enough is enough, the point is made. I don’t think that time is now; I think this coming season is “its time”: maybe the whole of this season teams should be encouraged to take the knee and make a powerful point. What we don’t want to happen is for it to run out of steam and lose its force. So perhaps there should be a chosen point at which we say the point is made and from [a chosen date] teams will not take the knee - perhaps the end of this season. Maybe it would be a good idea if a different action can be used to refresh the point thereafter for a given time. Any suggestions as to what that could be?
Time to just get on with life now
