L 1-0 vs Harrogate Town (H) - League Two - Sat 11th Nov, 3pm

We did it last season, Crawley at home, then Donny and Swindon away, and also beat Carlisle in the F A Cup during that run.

Christ, that seems a life time away :joy:

It does. I think the three games were spread over several weeks, because of the Cup tie, and also some postponements due to ice.
We won four in a row under Darrell Clarke, but that was the fanless season, which seems like another life, not just a long time ago. :slightly_smiling_face:

Good news, the SLO has confirmed the undercroft is indeed open on Saturday.

If I had a maypole I would dance around it fluttering my `hankie and jingling my bells as I made merriment.

Draper is out. According to E&S he has been back at Lincoln this week for treatment. Due back with us next week but we have heard that before with injured players.
Farq still out. Maher brought back to get playing time with us.

Apologies yes my brain must have switched off at the 2nd part in his summary here https://twitter.com/gbennett1997/status/1722650917508464670/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1722650917508464670&currentTweetUser=gbennett1997

If DJ plays we stand a good chance, but if DJT is chosen we will have no real threat. Saddler dont like DJ yet surely even he knows that walsall fans want him playing.
The only other players who should never play for Walsall are comley, Jamal Matt aca sloath. But thats my opinion

If Drapers not available DJ has to start surely.

I long for a game Draper and DJ can start together.

If DJ doesn’t play on Saturday then we will know that he is an outcast under this management team and will obviously instruct his agent to get him into a team that WILL play him as the goal poaching striker that WE all know he is capable of. Lots of struggling teams (Walsall?) in our Division that would snap our hands off for his services. I know I know…give it a rest?

Sadler will probably play DJT up front again, this time however he is up against fellow pros, not some Parks pitch team from the outer reaches of nowhere. Lets see how he fares in this environment.

Still see us being capable of beating this lot, watched them last week on the EFL show and they were appalling. 2-0 win. Hutch and Daniels on the score sheet.

I can almost feel the desperation with some of our fans for Sadler to pick Doug Taylor and for him to fall flat on his face. I am fairly sure he will select DJ in Saturday.

In this formation there has to be a strong case for playing Jamille tbh….although I do think he’ll go with DJ.

This is sadler he hates dj
Matt or djt will start
But personally I’d play

Evans
Foulkes daniels okagbue Gordon
Stirk mcentee
Tierney hutch maher
Dj

Where does this myth about DJ not playing come from? Out of our 16 league games he’s started 8 and come on as sub in 3 others - including the last one against Mansfield. It’s not like he’s being completely cold shouldered.

DJT was given a chance against a team 4 levels below us - he hasn’t started a single league game ahead of DJ.

And don’t forget that it was what was going on in DJ’s home life that meant he missed 2 of our 4 pre-seasons (and the game against Brighton’s kids) - nothing at all to do with this made up rift with Sadler.

Agreed Andy some of the stuff on here is truly bizarre.

I thought DJT showed plenty of promise and played well last week, but I think (and hope) DJ starts tomorrow

To be honest not playing DJ in this one I would find truely baffling.

I don’t think it is a myth.

Assuming what you said about preseason is correct, I wasn’t there but it is what we were told. Makes sense, and I wouldn’t have expected him to play v Brighton anyway.

I’m not sure your stats back up the point you are trying to make or work against it. Either way, DJ started the first 5 league games, so you would assume all was well up until that point.

Since then he has started 3 league games out of 11. Doesn’t sound quite so good, does it? You would assume any rift with Sadler (made up or not) would be after the first 5 games where all seemed well.

I don’t know what has or hasn’t happened any more than the next bloke. Draper being better than expected is probably part of it but let’s at least paint a realistic picture.

I agree.
