L 1-0 vs Harrogate Town (H) - League Two - Sat 11th Nov, 3pm

Well…. That’s a fairly defensive line up for a home game against Harrogate :joy: But, you never know.

I hope we see Ronan today….

No disrespect to Harrogate, but if we can’t win this what is the point.

After 16 games we are one point better off than them. I’d imagine they see it as a big opportunity also.

3 defensive midfielders at home to Harrogate, i hope not

I can’t think of anything more disrespectful :man_shrugging::rofl:

It may look defensive, but could mean the likes of Gordon, Stirk, Riley could push forward with impunity.

They’d have to with only 3 attack minded players in the team.

In the E&S articles this week, MS was quoted as saying RAM was brought back because he wished he had another wide option, and that it was due to the loss of Oteh - which implies to me moving Hutch off the left side (more central?) and playing Maher there.

How about a 4-1-4-1 formation? One of Stirk/Comley/McEntee at CM, and then RAM, Hutch,Tierney and Knowles behind DJ? I think Gordon, Dave and Daniels are Hobson’s choice at the moment but we could play Foulkes instead of Riley at RB?

The season isn’t one game.

Walsall being Walsalll i can see this game going 1 of many ways.

Walsall to win by 3 goals or more

Walsall to lose by 3 goals or more

An high scoring draw.

Walsall to nick 3 points in the dying stages

Walsall to lose in the dying stages

One thing for sure we will concede in the first 20 mins and we will have a great second half of football.

UTS.

I think today is going to be a good day. Sun is shining, enjoying the Lord Mayor’s Show on BBC1. Then a few light ales before making my way to my allocated seat at 2:40 to see the Saddlers out on a show in a 3-0 romp.

So the match will be literally after the Lord Mayors show, but let’s hope not metaphorically too.

No excuses for this one. Absolute fodder at home at this level.

 Fair point. But my opinion is unchanged. Any thing less than a win is a failure in my eyes.

Failure is to finish below Harrogate at the end of the season. One off result pretty meaningless. Too much chance involved.

1 win in 6 for us in the league I believe.

That must mean the cycle needs to restart, as we will win today; and then draw at home to Forest Green and then lose at Barrow :joy:

Misses the point by a mile. We’re 15th in the table because we’ve been bang average (generously), so these games become must win to turn the season into anything. It’s not one game, it’s 17.

Spot on.

That would just be an even worse kind of failure.

Anyway, didn’t mean to come across super negative. I just really think we should win this one and I’m hopeful we will!

I believe Harrogate have won 4 of there last 5 away games so not as easy as some people think.

There are no easy games at this level and Harrogate will indeed be a tough test but I think we have the quality to beat them.
