L 1-0 vs Salford City (A) - League Two - Tue 31st Jan, 7:45pm

Back 3 gives the option of keeping Low and moving White onto the bench.

There’s no midfielder there to help the defence so not sure that would work too well.

Evans
White/Low - Daniels - Monthe
Willmott - Hutchinson - Songo’o - Maddox - Gordon
Matt - Knowles

Subs: Smith, White/Low, Allen, Comley, Wilkinson, DJT, Williams

Suspect it’ll be the 11 above but Comley instead of Songo’o and he’ll start White over Low.

It’s funny - before every match, a lot of supporters pick teams leaving White out and, every match, Flynn picks him.

This is a tough, tough game against a good team with recent reinforcements and our players off the back of Saturday and having lost Kinsella and Johnson. I think it will be backs to the wall and anything other than a defeat will be a major plus.

Have to say White has improved quite a bit under Flynn and Hatswells time with us so far.

This one will test our metal. I fear a loss but our boys have shown to be full of character and determination. So I will go for a 1-1 draw.

Given their recent run of results I’d think we have a good chance…

Was originally going to this before it got called off so got refunds on our 6 tickets. 4 of us last night made the last minute decision to go again so will be paying on the gate. The club said we’d sold over 400 yesterday so should be over 500 tonight which is a solid effort.

As for the result, I’m always optimistic with this team which scares me. My only worry is how we’ll deal with replacing DJ’s goals so tonight will be a big test (and hopefully by the end of it, we’ll have DJ back anyway🙏🏻).

A solid draw again this evening.

I’m thinking of driving up, as my boy is off school tomorrow.

Whats it like for parking?

Not the best in all fairness but there is street parking round the corner if you get there early enough and probably more availability being a mid week game with even less of their fans than usual as well as not as many as the 1500 saddlers that went last time I went there.

We beat Mansfield without him, and he didn’t score against another promotion rival Swindon when we beat them (in fact he was hardly in it and missed the 2 decent opportunities he did have).

Hoping that although we won’t have that fox in the box to sniff out a goal from nothing, the inclusion of Matt means we create more chances, and goals get spread around a few other players rather than just relying on one.

A DJ doubter! You’ll have gangs with torches and pitchforks at your door before the deadline!
It really has been so long since we had a decent striker (even if only on loan) on our books that we have quite rightly become obsessed.
Hope Matt comes good tonight.
A point would be a good result, but the majority of our ‘games in hand’ must be wins, otherwise we can kiss the play off’s goodbye.

If we win just one of them it will leave us only 2 points outside the play off zone. You do make a drama out of things.

Salford may have a bit of mixed form at the moment but they’ve made some decent signings. We should be alright though as our fans will outnumber theirs by about 100 to 1 on the night… and that’s if Nicky Butt bothers to turn up :stuck_out_tongue:
