L 2-0 vs Exeter City (H) - League Two - Sat 22nd Jan, 3pm

Forget 4-2-3-1 as it doesn’t work with the squad carefully assembled by JF and MT to play 4-2-3-1.

Switch to 4-4-2
Play Miller and Philips upfront.
Wilkinson and Kiernan wide and Kinsella and Earing in the middle. Press their centre backs and don’t give them any time to build from the back.

If we play 4-2-3-1 we’ll be lucky to get a point.
Clubs has sussed us out. Easy to play against. Mark our wingers and we revert to long balls for Miller to chase against 2 defenders.

Good one, just wish I was there today, might get a bit ‘tetchy’.
Very good chant, I’m quite sure it will be well used !

I’m very much afraid it will be his usual 4-2-3-1, which we all know doesn’t work with the quality of players we are gifted with.
Taylor can be a bit stubborn in this regard…two up front? are you mad? we might start winning matches that will never do!

Today will be the game where the board will know that they have lost the good will of the fans

We have more chance of Whalley resigning than we do MT changing the 4231

:musical_note: You know what you are you know what you are Jamie Fullerton you know what you are.:musical_note:

That is just what I would do…the only time we have tried to play through the middle is with that midfield pairing so I would certainly start there.

Guess what Dean Smith giving Norwich half a chance , changed the system 2 upfront , it’s not rocket science !

I genuinely think we have been so so patient after the last 4/5 years. Sure, there been the odd game when the players hve been booed off. But especially under Keates and Clarke, I don’t think there’s really been too much of a reaction from the supporters.

Given the promise of a better future, which we all bought into… I think we have been extremely patient. When we go 1-0 down in games at home, we do tend to stick with them.

I do, however, see that changing today if we go 2-0 down - and even Moreso Tuesday night if we lose today and are crap against Bradford.

But all in all, I think our fans have been superb. Today feels like a tipping point.

We aren’t a terrible side, not by a long way - we just have serious deficiencies in key positions, and are very easy to play against. If I was the other Matt Taylor, I would be planning on overloading our left flank and getting crossed in. It’s not rocket science really is it ?

I expect us to Shithouse a 1-0 win today however, and to lift some of the gloom. We need it, the club needs, it the players need it, and Taylor needs it.

This doesn’t change the fact, regardless of the result, however, that the club has a massive 7 days in front of it. I will be a lot happier with 2 wins in 2… but we will have the same hodge podge of results with this squad for the rest of the season without exciting and balancing recruitment.

I’m also taking my 4 year old with me today again… must be mad.

Feel it could turn toxic today if it doesn’t go our way.

A lot of pressure on players and management to perform today.

Little old Walsall is back …

I’m not going but I hope we win, I hope we play well, I hope we score a hatful.
I hope you guys who do go get thoroughly entertained.
I hope there is no need to boo the players but feel free to boo the management and board for me please - they are reason I’m not attending today.

Stadium Suite looking lively enough - no signs of a mass stay away, and the general mood seems upbeat. May all change when everyone goes to their seats of course …

Wilkinson starts upfront

Kinsella alongside Labadie and Earing advanced. It’s what many people have wanted.

I would have rather Miller/Phillips upfront, Wilkinson on the right and Shade on the bench

Seems like the manager is still searching for something at least Kinsella is back.
