I will be joining superjorge it’s the only thing worth looking forward too regards the football I am seriously considering not getting an season ticket for next season other than the fact that we might not bother to meet up and the hassle of getting a ticket on a match by match ticket
The irony of it is I don’t really want to spend money at WFC at the moment but it will probably be that bad that we will stay in the bar after half time if it’s rubbish
In October, more than 2 weeks before Khan was signed (as a free agent after being let go by Tranmere in the summer and nobody else has been interested in him), we went down to Exeter, played 4231, and more than held our own in a 2-2 draw - with most of our fans thinking we deserved to win.
The only player in the starting XI that day definitely out tomorrow is Monthe. Ash Taylor wasn’t even in the squad, and in fact neither were Kinsella or Wilkinson.
So Leak in for Monthe is the only position we are potentially weaker than then - and many people have actually been wanting Leak to be given a run at CH to see if he’s retained the promise he showed as one of the few positives to take out of last season.
Miller scored both our goals that day but has had a bit of a drought since then. However he showed quite a bit of his previous form last week - he now just needs the ball to hit the back of the net to get that monkey off his back.
I see no reason why we can’t give it a go against them tomorrow. Yes we were crap against Stevenage, and we didn’t do enough last week, but whatever is going on that is riling fans up with regard to the running of the club has no bearing on whether our players have the ability to get it together and repeat the second half of our last home game against Newport (yes it does feel like ages but was just 3 weeks - remember how you were feeling as Wilkinson’s stunner went in?)
It’s just a question of which team turns up tomorrow - Jekyll or Hyde.
BTW Getting on the players backs and taking it out on them won’t help though, so if you are going to let your feelings known do direct it at the right target(s) but get behind the team. However, if the team do play crap then by all means feel free.
This
Meeting an Exeter fan before the game before the game for a few beers. He was moaning they haven’t beaten us for 10 years. I have told him to expect that run to come to an end tomorrow. Just hope I’m wrong!
Just hope that all the newcomers that Fullarton has managed to pick up since the beginning of the transfer window can gel into the team enough to make a difference.
DOF busy on the burger van outside tomorrow, getting the feeling " do they really want chips in the lower " and thinking can i really get away with a wage for another 6 months without doing nothing
Just remind him we usually play at a higher level.
Could be a good result. Why? There is a limit to how many things can go wrong. Another ominous sign, lesser crowd could mean a better result. Maybe not 4-2, or 3-0, but when two teams having form problems meet, anything can happen. I hope it will be good.
I reckon Matt Taylor will be on the winning side that’s my prediction.
Not if it’s a draw
I don’t know you try and be positive and say I reckon we will win and someone always brings other unimportant intricacies into the situation.
Are you meeting him twice?
Time for some of our players to start stepping up to the plate!
Time for miller to be miller of 4 months ago
Time for perry to be perry of last year
Time for ward to move
We got this!
Next new signing will be on early bird release day.
Last night I dreamt that we lost today 7-0, which in reality is not beyond the realms of possibility, Exeter could indeed give someone a right hammerin eventually.
We have a team of ‘players’, non of whom appear to know what they are doing or indeed know what they are supposed to be doing. It all seems so disorganised, all down to Taylor I’m afraid, and of course the ghostly ‘form’ that is a guy called McDonald?
What DO they do in training? apart from NOT shooting practice!
In the programme, it mentions HullSaddler reaching 70 - Happy Birthday Hull! Now for a celebratory thrashing of Exter.
If it’s going tit’s up today i think a chorus of " where’s our signings gone… Jamie Fullerton " should go round the stadium
