Miss from the follow up looks worse from this view. Good initial save tho

This was a decent performance where everything went wrong. It really was one of those games. They happen from time to time.

If we include Hussey, we are 6 centre-backs short on Tuesday. I suppose we can go to a back 4, in which case I would expect Stirk to come in. Or we play Comley in a back 3 although then we would miss him in midfield.

I am assuming Knowles will be out for that game and possibly a few more. Foulkes was decent when he came on and possibly deserves a run. Matt was injured and may also be out. If so, we are going to be very vulnerable in the air from set pieces. It is going to be a very tough game.

So, if we include Hussey, I make that possibly 10 players unavailable for selection, assuming no one else picked up a knock.

Why include Hussey but not for example Monthe? Both have left the club and have been replaced.

Peter Hart has been out for yonks.

Haven’t seen Graeme Forbes for a while, why can’t the interviewers ask Sadler for an update, disgraceful

Meyanese played 90 minutes for aldershot yesterday, so probably wouldn’t be recalled to play against Barrow

Not sure playing Allen has an out and out cb in a back 4 would be a great idea, Sadler has his work cut out to find a team selection/formation that works with the players he has at his disposal.

His speed down the wing I feel like he occupies the other teams players a lot and gives freedom to ours. He frustrates the hell out of me most of the time with poor crosses. I often think he’d do well if he got in the box a little bit more n maybe we’d definitely win a few penalties

7 if you include Weir (has played at CB as well as LB - a bit like Allen).

Was a decent save ,but not a fan of the way hutch lines up behind the ball then side steps to left quite wide almost telegraphed we’re he was going to hit it ,was similar to penalty he took against Gillingham. Which he got away with .half the battle to score a pen is keeper has to guess which side you’re gonna go think he knew yesterday.

With all these injuries, it’s really time for our strikers to step up now and remove some pressure.

Be good to see Gordon and Hutch, bang a goal or 2 Tuesday.

I personally don’t think the strikers are good enough for a promotion push personally (over a season)

Taundry used to run round like an headless chicken too, but tbf Atleast there is some kind of purpose to what Knowles is trying too do, unfortunately hes not very good at it.

Exactly my point mate, there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

We could get on the front foot Tuesday and just out score them. As a club we seem obsessed at times with our defence.

All true, but we were a lot weaker once our out and out defender Foulkes came on.

No idea what he offers.

But he did exactly the same in every penalty he’s taken and did exactly the same when going the other way v Crawley.

People look way too much into it. No one knows the thought process or what he’s practiced the fact is the best penalty takers in the world have all missed penalties.

If it was that easy, Ronaldo, Messi, zidane, Haaland etc etc etc would all have 100% scoring records from the spot….and they haven’t!

Sometimes they’re missed. Yesterday the keeper made a fantastic save. He’d almost dived past us and managed to reflex a hand upwards and behind him to save it.

One of those things. The rebound was a poor execution for sure but you see it a lot……the penalty taker has to get his head around taking the pen, seeing it saved and being presented with another chance all within literally a split second….i bet you see more rebounds missed by the taker than you do when it rebounds to another player.

Not excusing it because it’s a sitter but it’s not something that’s unheard of.

From what ive read Foulkes had a good game and put some decent crosses in, something Knowles struggles to do

I read the same and didn’t agree with it, got skinned on the inside first half which they nearly scored from.

Then watch his pathetic effort of a block for their first goal. I don’t think they mustered up an effort on goal whilst Knowles was on the pitch.

Funny what people see at times.

Didn’t Foulkes win the penalty?

That doesn’t make it a great performance.
