L 2-0 vs Leyton Orient (H) - League Two - Sat 2nd April, 3pm

Disgraceful performance.
MF got it wrong, but we have a deeper issue in that Fullerton signed this lot.
Didn’t understand the early season hype with Mayo, he’s finished.
Rodney - what’s he offer ?
I hope MF takes over the squad building for next season.
It’s going to be a busy summer.
I also don’t know why earring is getting a free pass he was as dreadful as well as ladabie and Osadebe.
A word on orient - decent manager, and I thought their 19 centre half was excellent as well as the 36 year old Darren Pratley, who ran the midfield. Was surprised with their time wasting tactics, they could have scored 10 !

Just look at that defending from Menayese :man_facepalming: Get rid

Surely leak has to start? Hasn’t done anything wrong when I have seen him play

God knows what those legends that came yesterday must have thought about this lot.Mower and Rees could have played yesterday and been better and they were three sheets to the wind.

I feel that footballers have far too much power nowadays compared to when the bunch that came to sign books yesterday played. It’s not really a working man’s game anymore and with agents and god knows what talking in their ears making them feel like they can get a job anywhere it really doesn’t help.

Can’t these players see that nobody will be rushing to sign them if they perform like that and there’s a good chance they could be without a club and without security,it blows my mind how arrogant and how superior they think they are.

As I keep saying times are hard and fans are having to choose whether to feed their kids or heat their homes so for them to pay to take all their families and kids to a Walsall game will no doubt effect their weekly finances.Surely a team should at least show fight and desire to win a game of football for them all when times are as they are, they should anyway but even more so in todays climate.

I think the majority of the current team have forgotten who they are playing for and at any club it should be for the men women and children who pay their money and invest their time week in week out supporting them all.

Smart work by Khan for the first goal, we could do with a player like him. Good finish from their striker who got in front of the defender.
Decently worked corner for the second, we were all at sea, although they got lucky with the big deflection.
How many times did we give the ball away when under little or no pressure?
We’ve definitely improved, overall, since the managerial change, but yesterday was terrible and a useful wake-up call, if we needed it, to show that a lot of the players aren’t good enough to win promotion, so if that is what we want we need to rebuild. Again!

Scored one and set one up two massive fingers up at Leigh Pomlett and the prat’s who couldn’t see giving him a longer deal was nothing other than beneficial to the club going forward. He’s way above most in this league and we took him off the scrap heap got him fit and flying so basically had him in our grasp only to be let go on a contract length issue that’s absolutely shocking to me.

Well I didn’t get my wish about having decent officials, the first goal shouldn’t have been given, their player handled the ball the ref didn’t see it so gave a corner but the linesman did and should have flagged. All game the linesman on throw in’s he waited for the ref to give decisions. Got nothing to say about the game itself.

Watching Orient yesterday makes you think what on earth are they doing down amongst us and the rest of the deadwood in the bottom dredges of the 4th Division, but then again losing to Oldham on a freezing Tuesday evening gives us the answer.
But overall it just shows the gulf between relative success, ie Mansfield & Vale, and run of the mill losing mentality clubs like us.

It took the ref 50 minutes too long to show a yellow for time wasting of which they did plenty of and an embarrassing amount at times.

Which just goes to prove that we are run by morons stuck in the 70’s mould of running a football club.
I might set up a clothes stall at the Sunday market selling flares, i would make a killing from our board members

Khan’s reaction on Twitter was neither big nor clever, but why was he getting booed in the first place?

I know he left under controversial circumstances, but they never appeared to be of his making, and while I wouldn’t have expected a hero’s welcome, i’m not sure the booing was justified either.

Ash Taylor’s definitely a tool though.

I don’t understand why refs aren’t strict from the start. They let everything go and wonder why they have lost control of the game, then by the last half hour they are all over the place. Just set a standard from the beginning, let players know they will get away with nothing, and that would make it a better game, and probably be easier and more enjoyable for the refs themselves.
The real pisstake was when the Orient player who was ten yards from the touchline turned round, and walked past the ref to go the long way off when he was subbed. The ref let him get away with it. Pathetic.

It looks like he has deleted it now.

Something must be done about players going down feigning head injuries just to stop play, the answer would be to make them go off for ten minutes that would stop it.

I didn’t get the booing either. He left us, but presumably we made him a poorer offer than Orient, so what was the chap to do? He played well and tried when he was here, which is all we can ask I think.
On the other hand, Ash Taylor is one of the most mahoosive bellends to play for us in my decades of supporting.

What did Khan say in his tweet?

Absolutely and they would have been down to 9 men had he have gave yellows for time wasting early on.The incident where their bloke walked past the ref to be subbed slowly handing the captains armband over as he did so was arrogance at its best and the ref should have stamped all over it.It took us lot screaming at him to make the second substitution walk the long way round. The officials are very very poor at this level but we handed them the initiative early and they squeezed every last drop they could out of the situation on the flip side it’s good game management when it’s happening to you of course it’s very frustrating.

The ref was Andy Haines, what did you expect, he’s the only ref worse than Trevor Kettle. Some years ago half the football league was up in arms about him as he was that bad and were complaining they didn’t want him in the league. Also responsible for that game against Charlton which is still the worst ref’ing performance I’ve seen in 50 years at any level including Sunday league and kids footy. He followed that up the next week by sending Blackpool’s leading scorer off for diving for what was one of the clearest penalties you’ll ever see.

All that said any of us could have ref’ed yestarday and it wouldn’t have made any difference, we were that bad.

Massive overhaul needed in the summer.
Hopefully the additional million we get from Brentford for them staying up will go to Flynn.

Recruitment should be down to him and him alone so part of the overhaul should be getting rid of Fullerton who is responsible for this dross.
