L 2-0 vs Leyton Orient (H) - League Two - Sat 2nd April, 3pm

Getting increasingly tired of players with such poor standards.

Managers come and go but it’s really time for players to get a grip, or feck off and go and waste someone else’s time and money.

That’s what I alluded to, I’m sick of these players. If Khan and Taylor are openly doing on social media, wtf is happening in the changing room.

Some players must think fans are proper mugs, and they should give their heads a wobble, whatever happened to respect
Imagine paying hundreds of pounds a year for some c**t to take the piss

It was very much an end-of-season, nothing-to-play-for game for us but not for Orient, who played very well indeed. One major difference between the teams was that they had a striker to lead the line - we have not had anyone like that all season. All three of our forward players need to play alongside someone.

No one played well but two things struck me. First, our defence needs Daniels and Monthe to function properly. Menayese was daydreaming for the first goal. To allow the striker in as easily as that was criminal. Contract or not, he will not play for us next season, except in an emergency.

The second thing was how we lost out physically. Our strikers, particularly Wilkinson and, when he came on, Miller, fall to ground very easily and never get a free-kick. With their strikers, when they went down, it was a free kick. Is that because the referees think our players are faking? Or are they two weak?

It was, as everyone has said, a desperate performance but the worst part was the lack of creativity. People can criticise Osadebe all day but he is someone who can make things happen - in stead we put him at FB where his weaknesses are exposed and his strengths diluted. With Labadie playing up the pitch and still unable to score or provide an assist, it is hard to see much appearing in the way of chances.

Got to say i’ve seen some pretty awful performances from this lot away from home, but yesterday takes the biscuit, from a goalkeeper who i personally think he’s thinks he far too good for us and as such his performances have taking a nose dive, to Labadie who i still don’t know what he brings no goals as he had an assist this season i can’t remember one, Earing as lost his way lately and i haven’t seen nothing in Rodney that’s going to set us alight next year, it’s ANOTHER major overall in the summer and going on Fullerton’s recruitment this year just get rid of him and let Flynn do his own, got to be better than Fullerton’s surely, as for the board just Feck off and get people in with a bit more forward thinking.

To be fair, it was the 40th minute, but I said to my mates they had been time wasting from the first whistle.
Set their stall out from the off, which the ref was incapable of knowing what was going on.
The centre half strolling up from the back to take the throw ins, was the biggest and clearest piss take.

I wasn’t there yesterday luckily, I have done my back in, perhaps now being 50 I shouldn’t be lifting weights  , I didn’t really fancy it anyway a lower mid table end of season game to be honest, I had started to give the players the benefit of the doubt but really none of them seem worth keeping, I agree about Rushworth he has gone backwards. I am a bit confused why we have dropped Miller he just seemed to have started to form a partnership with Wilkinson, the old cynic in me of supporting Walsall all these years is wondering if we have to pay more of a loan fee if he starts so many games.

About the Khan and Taylor tweets I think some of the Orient fans called him out about it if I read them correct but it makes you think what is our reputation like amongst other players like, will they want to sign for us if our reputation as a club is really bad, hopefully having Flynn in charge might change that unless he says stuff it and goes for a better job

No worse than Bakayoko jumping the wall to goad saddlers fans when he scored for Coventry a few years back.

It’s always gone on players are mercenaries at this level -and I don’t blame them short career and low wages.

The clubs are just the next contract

It’s just social media that’s arrived to make it more transparent to the fans.

Always said - love the shirt and badge -the players mean nothing to me

What about the blind linesman who failed to spot that the ball was at least 18ins over the touchline? It was so obvious that all the players stopped, White threw the ball back to the touch line so they could take their throw in, and the ref gave a foul against him for handball!
It doesn’t detract from an abysmal performance from us, but the ref and that particular Lino were dreadful.

Linesman on the left handside as you look out from the home end was shocking.

At one point we were down near the corner flag, the ball was blocked and went out off their player. The lino was no less than a foot away. He then just looked, waited flag down for the ref to decide which was he was giving it. Only then did he flag.

Something has got to be done regarding the standard of officiating.

Spot on about osadebe. I saw one player actually making space for himself and asking for the ball. I saw only one player trying to beat his man, which then opens the game up. He kept at it even when it didn’t work and there were audible murmurs from the stands. He’s not a world beater but I’ll say this - if ladabie, kinsella and earing were to offer themselves in the same way, we’d be a far, far better team.

I can’t believe the free ride that kinsella gets here. Yes, i appreciate that he runs around like a little terrier, snapping at heels when we don’t have the ball. Good on him. But, when we have possession, he totally disappears. He, in fact, often places himself behind an opposition player so he can’t have the pass and then starts pointing. Not good enough.

There were two perfect examples of it yesterday. On one occasion, monthe had the ball and kinsella did come short and offer himself for the pass. He was in space, nobody on him. Instead of looking up and seeing what he could do, he passed straight back to monthe, who had a striker bearing down on him and, in keeping with moments monthe had yesterday, the ball was like a hot potato and kinsella had played us into trouble.

Later on, mills, who i thought did ok, had 3 men on him and was struggling and needing an outlet. Kinsella was stood no more than 5 yards away but pretty much turned his back on the play.

And before anyone thinks I’m picking on him, he’s not as disappointing to me as Ladabie. Yesterday, he decided to indulge in his usual battle with an opposition player and Pratley completely and utterly owned him. Interesting to see Pratley and Flynn embrace when the former left the field.

I noticed that, he was looking at the ref to see what decision to give even though he was closer by about 25 yards.

We held our post match debrief at lunchtime today. We do this a bit after the event to take the raw emotion out of it. Still today though there were slim pickings to be positive about. Want to give some credit to Leyton Orient, who I thought were excellent, if they hold onto that side and add to it in the summer they will be major rivals for promotion next season.

Think the only positive you can take from yesterday is we did not get any bookings.

The one player who came out of the game with credit was Daniel. I think we should be negotiating his contract now. It was said by Tranmere fans that Monthe needs someone beside him who organises well, and that is now obvious.

Crikey at one point I saw Labadie flick a leg out to make a challenge on their bloke as he ran through and I’d gotten home and eaten my tea by the time he’d made it he was that slow. This is what I was on about when I said we make players worse than any other time in their careers and this time the current manager has managed the bloke.I honestly don’t know how we do it maybe this crap stadium that’s never felt like home is cursed.

We’ve had a fair few promotions out of it mate, blame the shite recruitment… it’s that simple

I guess so mate I’ve never liked the place that’s all and it’s probably that overriding fact clouding my judgement bad recruitment it is.

It took the ref 50 minutes too long to show a yellow for time wasting of which they did plenty of and an embarrassing amount at times.

We would have employed the same tactics if were 2-0 in front, most teams would.

I did also say on the flip side it’s good game management if you read a little further down.
