Agreed, no excuses - we must turn up in numbers. Would be very disappointed if the attendance was below 6,500.
Iām guessing they are expecting the collection window to be busy with people collecting tickets for upcoming away games rather than tomorrow nights game. With no mail over Christmas period and the strikes with Royal Mail and ticket office being closed people who have ordered tickets for the Fa cup game will more than likely collect tomorrow to ensure they have their tickets.

I think there are also around 500 tickets that will be in sale to Stockport fans up until kick-off so it will be busy.
Think itās slightly under that now, somehow l
For some reason this feels like one of our biggest matches in a long time.It may be because these (now they are playing well) could be a good barometer as to where we could finish in this league mixed in with our first game in OUR home who knows.Stockport are flying and you could easily pick a good few of their team thatāll cause us problems.Paddy Madden, Kyle Wooton and in particular Will Collar whoās having an exceptional December.Iād personally be happy with a draw and itāll either be a 0-0 bore or a 2-2 Desmond in my opinion. There will be no Owl from me tonight heās away with family so he wonāt be either ruining the match thread or being the highlight of it depending on which side of the fence you sit on.Big match is this one and Iām really looking forward to it UTS!!
Reduced during Covid if I remember correctly to about 10,000 odd.
Wasnāt it something to do with all the bosted seats?
Think it was just a way of trying to get us fans back in ā¦
Some seats were taken out the front of the away end a few years back, reducing capacity there from 1,914 to around 1,500. I reckon 10,800 tops overall these days. We have not had an 11k attendance figure since 2004.
Thinking of capacity, didnāt we officially reduce it to comply with Covid madness? I wonder if that was temporary and is now back to pre Covid capacity?
Rather oddly weāve opened up the e-ticket facility for Stockport fans this morning.
On the actual day of the game somebody has decided that over 500 Stockport fans queuing for tickets alongside hundreds of Walsall fans might best be mitigated.
Better late than never but as weāve been saying on here for days, this was a mess waiting to happen.
Iād also open a cash only turnstile for them at the motorway end of the family stand. If a couple of hundred use the e-ticket facility and another couple of hundred pay cash then it probably only adds a few dozen into the ticket queue rather than a few hundred.
Thatās what I was pointing out . I think any stadium over 10 k had to have social distancing and all the evils that went along with organising that so I think we dropped our capacity to get around it ,
Your spot on.Lots of clubs dropped their capacity to under 10,000 because of the COVID situation. It was a sneaky way of not having to deal with it basically.
Cheers.
COVID? What was that then?
In all fairness I missed the first 10 minutes of the match at their place queuing for tickets, leave them to it
It would be even better if they actually let Stockport fans know that they can buy online!
The good old days eh? Thatās something that sadly anyone under 40 will never know. Donāt get me wrong,Iād rather be 21 (again) but money canāt buy the exhilarating of watching the Saddlers in front of 10,000 +, and for me night games even better.
Reading their site they are rightly annoyed, many apparently not traveling due to how we released the tickets.
I.e only making 1000 available when their was demand for more, why we didnāt just give them the full allocation is baffling.
