Walsall are like ofsted. Just do the job right when the big boys in town to assess you
As expected a return of the dire no hope, no idea Saddlers hoofball. Another game with laughable selections and zero impact on a shocking performance throughout the 100 mins. Sadler has to go and until he does nothing will change in terms of football style, commitment or results. BB left a week or two early as this bag of shite will be followed by 2 home defeats and end of any lingering belief that this very poor team can get closer to play offs than drop zone ⌠bye, bye to the failed PE Teacher ⌠PLEASE
I know I know. I donât think there is the squad depth to do more this season unfortunately.
I just donât understand pro footballers who cannot pass the ball accurately.
That was our downfall today, and of course, giving away sloppy goals!
We had every chance to take something from this game and we royally screw it up.
Matt was poor today as was Knowles as was the teamâs 2bnd half performance.
I donât understand how we are actually worse now than when sadler first took over?
Only difference between us and an amateur team is our fitness and the Alfreton game shown that
Probably because Matt Sadler has been a supporting feature on the coaching team through recent dismal seasons, and now we are feeling the full unedited version of this with him as head coach.
Didnât expect anything from today, voted for us to lose and I voted for a win against County and Tranmere. It wasnât based on any particular technical knowledge, more just a hunch on it being the Walsall thing to do. Pressure on, pop a couple of wins in to ease said pressure, then revert to type.
Two home games coming up that will be tough, wouldnât be surprised if we lose them both. Pressure mounts and we go and win against Grimsby to ease the pressure. Rinse and repeat.
Thatâs why we will be mid to lower table mediocrity, and I donât see Sadler changing that.
Awful team to play against we knew they would play like that, awful pitch ,unlucky to concede when we did unfortunate bounce .plenty to be happy about .âItâll Comeâ
Well that was painful to watch.
Just when we string a couple of results together ( more luck than judgement ) and raise peoples hopes the inevitable Jekyll and Hyde F.C turn up.
Daniels badly at fault for their opener, and we were very fortunate with the penalty decision imo.
Second goal ⌠well
We hardly strung two passes together and resorted to hoofball far to often again.
Smith is a good shoot stopper but flaps at everything coming in from crosses, wish he would try to catch more.
We are so inconsistant it hurts, and the lack of football is painful, and the last few results i believe weâve been very lucky with, today we were back to our usual selves.
Think MS gained a little breathing space with the couple or three games before today but after that performance, not necessarily the result, I would think / hope the pressure will be back on with the Americans forced Christmas time spent over here.
Absolutely shocking performance, ran ragged by academy players. Played like a sunday morning team dragged out of the pub and asked to play anywhere they fancied. Surely this cannot be allowed to go on much longer. 5 years of this crap we have had to put up with since we :âarrivedâ in this division with it getting worse season by season. Perhaps 2 good defeats in the next 2 home games will force the decision to get a decent manager in to keep us in the EFL.
i feel for the travelling fans who went today to witness that embarrassment.
Sadlerball lol.
Knew weâd lose now Benny Boycotts gone home and everyoneâs patting themselves on the back with a few scrappy wins and another pointless statement about communication.
See you all on Boxing Day letâs hope itâs a classicâŚ
Note to self: cheer up itâs Christmas
MS on the radio complaining about âawful conditionsâ again.
Canât even listen to him anymore makes my toenails curl
Thought they were over here for the whole Christmas period?
Im not someone that joins a witch hunt when it comes to managers, I always say I understand the scale of the job at Walsall, but I struggle to remember so many excuses being made.
What would Sir Ray make of the constant stream of, quite frankly, poor excuses for non performances
Our midfield should be Stirk Earing and Hutch.
A brave manager would have instilled a mentality of keeping the ball and being positive.
We are so boring and negative itâs unreal.
Awful performance.
Sadler waffling on about the conditions. Complete cop out the silly sausage.
We were brain dead, useless on the ball, useless off the ball with no spark of imagination or creativity.
There are players stealing a living. Not because they donât put a shift in but because they just donât have the capability.
Knowles is top of that list. His mom defending him at the end was funny. Somebody further up the thread comparing him to Osadebe - sorry - but Osadebe is leagues better than Knowles (Osadebe league 2, Knowles National league North).
Daniels has become an accident waiting to happen since we started asking him to play some quasi midfield/centre back hybrid role.
In other words, the team doesnât work. It could have dug out a point today. It probably wonât go down. But itâs miles off challenging at the right end of the table.
Massive job to turn this around and I donât think Sadler is the right man to do. Blues youth team coach is absolutely the right kind of job for him.
Stirk, Comley and Mcentee in midfield is like Kinsella x 3.
I have firmly been on the âSaddler inâ campâŚnot anymore. This performance against a weak, inexperienced, team was clueless.
Stirk is very poor. He will not be in the EFL nextcseason.
I hope he is, heâs on a 2 year contract.
He was one of better performers when played as the holding midfielder. He has been fairly poor since Sadler decided to play him further forward, and thats on Sadler.
