Still haven’t forgiven Doncaster for the 15/16 Final Day…

2-0 tonight and we can start to dream a little.

Heading there after work. A draw would be decent, win would be excellent.

After last seasons game there we got caught up in a RTC driving back through Doncaster after one of their fans had a medical emergency driving his car. Found out the day after that he’d passed away, and seemed to be a fairly well known Doncaster fan going off the tributes on their forum. First time me or the other half had been involved with anything like that so it was a pretty harrowing night… especially seeing a bloke wearing his teams shirt on his way home from the same game as us being in such a bad way. Hoping for a slightly more positive trip tonight and hopefully makes some slightly better memories of the place.

I think we need 3pts tonight. 1. It’ll kind of eliminate Doncaster from the play off picture and 2. I think the 3 home games are far tougher than we’re giving credit to….Notts have found a little form, Bradford will be tough and Swindon awkward……I’d take 6 from those three games and we’ll need to go to AFC last day and win to have a chance….

Remember going to Donny on 1 January 1985 with a hangover. It was freezing but we went 1-0 up at half time. Open terrace behind the goal. Then it started snowing and we conceded 4 in the second half. They had the Snodin brothers playing for them that day.
UP THE SADDLERS

I agree!

After a very bright and sunny morning here in Doncaster the rain and high winds which were forecast have just arrived, they should be well gone by kick-off.
I feel this is a must win game for Rovers and a must not lose game for us, if we can win so much the better and gives me bragging rights until next season at least.
They try to play “out from the back” which can be frustrating to watch and was aptly named by someone on the last match thread as Chuckle Brothers passing!
Their upturn in form has come about because of players returning from injury and the arrival on loan of Matty Craig from Spurs, Hakeeb Adelakin from Lincoln and Goalkeeper Lo-Tutala from Hull City. The first two along with Luke Molyneux are probably the danger players. They normally play a 4-3-3 formation and will have top scorer Joe Ironside leading the line as Maxime Biamou who they signed as a free agent is injured I believe. George Miller and Caolan Lavery are both still injured.
Hopefully we will get close to 500 supporters there. Enjoy the game and safe travels.

Rushall Olympic at home if nerves get too much lol .

That was me. To you-to me. I saw it as boring as heck to watch, but realised, from other comments on here saying how well our players did to not fall into the trap Donny were setting. In other words, trying to pull our forward players too far out of position to then pass the ball through into the gaps. Personally I couldn’t bear to watch that week in week out, but what do I know as they’ve gone on an amazing winning streak since coming to Bescot.!

Might be a time for Dj to come on then seeing as he allegedly cant press.

The ace up our sleeve :thinking:yet to be played

With DJ unable to press, Ironside up front for them and the weather improving hopefully it will stay dry and we’ll clean up.

Maybe the MK Dons whitewash defeat a few games ago was the kickstart we needed to smarten up: every cloud has a sill for ironing…

“Just hoping there’s another 8000 home fans this Tuesday to roar on the lads, get the drummer busy again and even get the trumpet from today in there too”

Anyone got a double bass or trombone? Could get a little jazz band going tonight.

I wonder if he would be able to walk with his drumsticks rammed up his backside . Anybody who “plays” drums during a football game should be banned for life.

Doncaster lost 1 of their last 8 which was to us, haven’t conceded in the last 4 at home and haven’t lost at home since late January. We’ll be looking do our 3rd double of the season in as many games and I believe they were the only team we did the double over last season. I’d probably take a draw although we could really do with a win to keep the pressure on the playoffs.

Drums get severely bad rep but some of the best atmospheres I’ve seen included a drum, Pompey always sticks in my mind, a few years back now back in L1, just relentlessly loud home support behind that goal.

I’d welcome any ideas down the bescot to try and sort the morgue out. First port of call would be safe standing in the lower tier though.

Getting nervous! How is the owl @Scooby2167

Beat Doncaster, then need 2 wins from last 4

Draw, then need 7 points from 3 home games

Lose, need 3 wins from 3 home games

It’s on
