I think that we look just a like a team that is 16th in League Two.
We have won 5, drawn 5 and lost 6 in League Two and been knocked out of the two cups at the earliest opportunity. We are 23rd in the table in terms of possession, just 40.9%, only slightly better than Sutton. The technical quality of most of our players, when it comes to passing and ball control, is below average for this division.
We have 30 games left, so a lot could happen to change things round, but we are just as likely to have a bad run that takes us down to 20th as to have a good run that takes us up to 8th. Most likely we will have some good and bad spells and finish around where we are, needing a clear out of under-performing players at the end of the season.
We arenāt going down!!!
We should all praise trivela and sadler and be delighted in our position!
Some of us want and expected more than crap every single dam season and people being happy that ā we didnāt lose by as many as we thought we wouldā amazes and shocks me that thatās acceptable
How will we ever improve when we are happy with not being thrashed
Fair point but they have challenged every one of those seasons, and had a worse injury crisis than us last season which cost them bad. They may not make it this season but they sure as hell want it.
We are in our usual position, season almost over bar the F.A Cup now in October. Iāll still follow us and get behind the team and all that but letās not pretend any real progress is being made at Walsall.
Id more likely see him going to a team in our own division⦠probably doing better and then working his way up to league one while we continue to stagnate. But thats being kind. Likely he will develop but needs a firm and disciplined coaching set up to knock out his āgamesmanshipā and inconsistencies.
Agree 100%, I am certainly picking up the vibe where we do seem to be lowering our expectations ever so gradually as time progresses. I really wonder at times what our expectations, and thus what we are willing to accept as satisfactory, will be in a few months time.
UP THE SADDLERS
Just walked in and seen the score. Not surprised we lost today, but having only read the last dozen or so posts the nature of the defeat is more concerning to me. Had we won on Tuesday night, todayās defeat would not have seemed quite as bad.
We just dont seem to learn from previous games and the problems we.create upon ourselves. Yes i know we have injuries but i said,. like many, the squad building this summer has been like throwing darts blindfolded. Critical areas of the squad have been neglected.
Sadler needs to learn, and learn quick. I am dreading FA Cup game already. Artificial pitch against a bunch of keen eager semi-professionals, with absolutely nothing to lose. I mean, what could go wrong.
We all mostly expected this result today me included so why get bitter about it .well I for one am bloody mad,
Passed off with it and wonāt except it .and never will .I want better for my Walsall .
Iām not sure who in our league would take him right now tbh
Iām not sure Yeovil would take him back on current form!
Iāve said it before we need to stop hoping for developmentā¦heās 25 isnt he? He is what he is.
Again today he did one thing (as he did at Newport) which I believe he should base his game around and cut out everything elseā¦.take a touch and cross it. End off.
