L 2-1 vs Morecambe (A) - League 2, Sat 5th August, 3:00 pm

That makes 2 of us. We’re gonna be the shock of the division when dj bangs in 50 goals and we’re run away leaders and county and Wrexham are struggling in mid table. Let’s be having ya!!! Come on you reds.

Ha ha. Yes I’m excited to be honest. I think we are in a much better place than last season and could surprise a few people. I don’t expect us to be looking over our shoulder like the last 3 years. So yes I’m positive

We have a good squad I think just lack that player who can be magical and create something out of nothing. Someone like Emanuel Osadebe

He created plenty of goal kicks for the opposition

Two more get ups and weem off

Edit.
On the advice of a poster, I’ve deleted the tickets from the post, as apparently someone could half inch them using technology that is beyond my knowledge

No expense spared on the quality of those Morecambe tickets. Almost chucked mine away the other day thinking it was an old parking ticket at the back of my wallet!

Weather forecast not looking too good for the game on Saturday. Could be wet and and windy. (Cue usual jokes about incontinence and flatulence)

Might indeed be utter hell, we have been promised gales, heavy thundery rain, and a magnificent summer temperature of 14 degrees by mid afternoon if lucky.
First win of a substantial winning season, we will stay in the top ten for most of the season, (you’ve heard it here first, I’m now on different pills and the kind gents in white coats say I may get better eventually) but will probably be pipped at the post for the auto’s by the big spenders buying their way to the top.

If anyone wants a pub, the owners of this one are in this link inviting us in for a drink. The only downside is they’ve welcomed us with a Carlsberg at £3

Isn’t that "Probably the best lager in the world”

Looks like Walsall fans have begun arriving in Morecambe!

From a Morecambe fan: quite laughable really

I see a lot of Saddlers fans are assuming Morecambe will be an easy 3 points on the opening day. I think that’s a wrong impression of what we’ve got here.

As I understand it Walsall have an impressive, but newly formed strike force of aging veterans; a reasonable L2 defence; and a very young and inexperienced midfield.

Yann Songo’o was on loan there last year and I don’t think he impressed. He’s back with Derek now and he always gets the best from Yann.

From what I’ve seen of our squad in pre-season, I’d be surprised if Morecambe don’t get all 3 points from an average L2 Walsall on Saturday. Put me down for an outrageous 4-1 home win and over 4,000 crowd. I might even fancy Songo’o to get a tap in.

Imagine the panic if that happened

What Elton John got to do with Morecambe?

Probably being the key word

Probably the same one who’s been spouting similar stuff on the Walsall FC Facebook page

It’s the “average” for me, yet the main bulk of their squad is loanees and under 21 players on 1 year contracts, I’d concentrate on making sure the electricity bill is paid rather than how “average” our squad is

I listened to one of their players taking about the Walsall game and he said something along the lines of

“You have to watch the lower league teams because on their day they can spring a surprise”

He certainly expecting to win and considers us a lower league team. Maybe he doesn’t know the table is alphabetical before a game is played.
