L 2-1 vs Newport County (A) - League Two - Sat 18th Sept, 3pm

I was there and I reckon the crowd was about 11k. 6k walsall and 5k Newport. Never seen anything like it and probably never will again

So how long before Clarke goes down winning their first free kick holding off one of our forwards? I’ll go for 54 seconds :grinning:

A BS figure conjured up by their local TV station. The gate was 9k. An easy mistake to make I guess.

Clarke hasn’t got into the team last few league games. Cameron Norman however is the third most fouled player in the football league this season …

That’s not dodgy at all

441 tickets pre-sold. Add another 50-100 POTD and that’s a decent turnout.

Class turnout that is.

Yeah, I’ve not got mine yet and will be POTD along with one other. Should be a good day!

My three tickets have not arrived in the post yet. I’m hoping they’ll arrive early in the morning as I’ll be heading down to Newport at about 10:00.

They take them with them to collect at the ground @Daz

Thanks @Jamessaddler

No worries @Daz i had the same queries few weeks back at Tranmere.

4 of us paying on the day.No price increase to do this which makes a pleasant change.

I see it’s cash only for away fans.Guess they will only declare the ones that bought tickets in advance then so don’t be surprised if they announce an away following of 441.

Wank.

Another tough test for the Saddlers, never any easy games in this league.
I’m hoping we continue with the momentum we’ve worked so hard for in the last four games, attack, creating chances and winning the second ball.
I would like to see Shade taking on defenders, I know he’s predominantly right footed and may play on the left flank, but he has the talent and needs to use it.

1-0 Walsall

Rushworth
White Monthe Meyanese Ward
Kinsella Earing
Kiernan Phillips Shade
Miller

Take a draw now to keep the momentum going into the big home game against Bristol rovers next Saturday. Got a feeling we might just get all 3 points though UTS

That was my first ever Walsall game, 1979/80.

I think it was a win for us we won the league , a win for them they got promoted. It was a shit show at the end .

The trip back through Brum to Redditch was not much better with the Blue noses having got promoted or avoided relegation on the same day were ā€œcelebratingā€ as they did in the late 70s

I don’t like such games, so i hope it will be ok.
