Reading the riot act in the dressing room is fine. Itās when you go into the media and called out members of your own team that modern pros have a big problem with. Not just the ones called out. It becomes a collective āhe aināt got our backs lads so why should we have his?ā. Iām not advocating that as a mindset by the way but it is definitely the way the game has gone and managers need to manage accordingly. Ours hasnāt.
