However like it or not all things being equal, in a league two game like that we did miss a player with McEntees qualities.
Itâs strange how none of the top 7 would.

I tend to agree, but weâve also had âproper managersâ before and they didnât do any better. Honestly, Iâm not sure what the solution is as we seem to have exhausted all avenues.
Maybe the top 7 all have a player with those qualities but also more experience and maybe their budgets also cater for those qualities plus a little more qualityâŚ.

I think my views on matches are just as valid as his 
One other point. I will reiterate what have said once or twice already and others have said the same. If we are serious about promotion we want at least 2 quality forwards under contract for next season. Continuing to rely on loanees, however good, just isnât working. A matter for BB rather than MS.
I didnât say they played as an 8 and I donât think McEntee did eitherâŚI said they would have players with the qualities McEntee has that are essential in most league two games which we miss when he doesnât play. They also have budgets that allow for players of that ilk that also possess more experience and / or more quality.

Add to that - right and left wing back. A number 8 of quality to rotate with Hutch and Earing.
You are right on the available strikers though - DJT Matt Faal and Gordon are dreadful.

I donât think he played as an 8. He played as a ball winning CM. A job we donât really have anyone else doing. So weâve missed it.
Iâm not going down this rabbit hole anyway.
Itâs ridiculous - we lost 4-0 to Sutton with McEntee in midfield against a âphysicalâ team. So pointless.
My main gripe is the style of football mate - and the long aimless channel balls. What are we doing?
Why have we gone away from the type of football we saw implemented over Christmas?
Why has he brought Evans in? Heâs ended his Walsall career with that stupid decision.
Why didnât he sign a RWB in January? A blind horse could see we needed one.
Why on earth did we sign Josh Gordon? Desperation?
Why are we playing (effectively) 8 defensive minded players at home to Newport ? Why the double pivot today?

Isnât Comley a ball winning cdm and stirk is a ball winning player Aswell they just lack the physical aspects

I am sure we could do better in numerous positions but forwards are the key to me. They score and take the pressure off defenders tooâŚjust look at today a goal down in 3 minutes.Chances created to score which were missed, anther goal in 10 minutes more chances missed. If they had been taken it would have been a totally different game.
Possibly but I dont think either of them are as good as McEntee in terms of his attritional qualities and itâs those that are missed without him.

Because the football over Christmas relied on Draper holding everything up to bring others into play, Faal canât do that.
Otherwise Evans would have moved on in January if he wasnât going to be in the team, would have been difficult to find a replacement with just a few days left of the window
Because even though we do need one, he just isnât going to drop Knowles. Then youâve got Foulkes and Riley who canât get into the matchday 18, then if we were going to bring in someone, it puts players further down the pecking order when theyâre on decent wages.
Absolutely no doubt itâll be something we put sole focus on in the summer.
Proven at this level, knows the club, knows Sadler, rather sign someone like that than a unknown U18 striker to replace Draper, think back to Osei Yaw.

Apparently we have a target that we are signing in the summer. This player currently under contract. Its on the radar but i cant see why we havent got someone in until the end of the season.
