Can’t make it unfortunately whilst the wife is away and I’m not taking my daughter down - bad planning this!
I assume there has been some chat on uptherobins or whatever their forum is called about sneaking in the home end now so much rides on Saturday?
A sensible decision by the club. Going to be electric on Saturday with a bumper audience in excess of 8,000.
your either on the wind up or your Leigh Pomlett and Everton Andy is Dan Mole it really is that simple.
Should be a good atmosphere. Always good when a team brings a load of fans here all over excited and we send them back miserable.
The Swindon lot will be no different.
A little reminder for anyone who uses the M6 to get to Bescot.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "We’re closing the M6 motorway in both directions between Junction 10 exit and entry slip roads from 8pm Friday 6 to 6am Monday 9 May 2022 to demolish the old south bridge.
Feels like the bit of the M6 I do for games has had something major going on for about 15 years.
I’m pretty sure that once they’ve finished the “smart” conversion of long chunks of it that they’ll decide they aren’t that “smart” after all and have to build a new hard shoulder that will take another decade.
Between 2000 and 2020, i daily did M6 between walsall and south to various places of work and in all that time the stretch between here and brum has had a grand total of about 6 months where there weren’t any road works on it somewhere.
Me included, yet the state of the tarmac is shocking, you would think after all that time and money it would be like a bowling green pitch!
The M6 is the UK’s largest car park, how PT has the patience to go down to the Poundland Arena (see what I did there?) on a regular basis demands a loyalty medal.
When man has developed a human settlement on Mars the M6 will still be under repair /refurbishment, by then it will be eight lanes and still at a standstill for most of it’s entire length!
Went on the M65 to Colne yesterday it was heavenly!
Im not going, Went there place saw us get ripped apart and shown how too play…
Going too make most of the sun and enjoy my Saturday and not get eat up by another WFC game…
I await next season…
I though they were the best team I’ve seen this season.
100%
They really did show us how too play… Barry and Gypo showed how good of players they can become. And with 3.5k behind them im sure it will be same again, and tbh i hope they do… Might stop Vale going up and will leave a very bitter taste for some of them who do not deserve too be here next season
Back on topic - what the hell was the point of the M6 Toll? It’s done bugger all to reduce congenstion.
I always use the toll and I can tell you it has reduced congestion for me considerably.
Has it reduced it for Everton Andy and Lincoln Peter ?
With a day to go, it looks like we’ve sold around 5,000 so as Leigh said in his video, a crowd of at least 8,500 looks on the cards which is great. Feels like a while (the Northampton game when Dobbo scored?) since we had a crowd of that kind of size in the place.
Be lovely if we could sell a few hundred more. Doubt the full 2,000 that are left will go but be nice to put a hole in that number over the next 24 hours. Should be a really decent occasion.
I hope they’ve stocked up on food and ensure all turnstiles and kiosks/bars are staffed.
They are training them to burn the sausage rolls and turning the chiller for the mild to below 3deg as we speak
