L 3-1 vs Notts County (H) - League Two - Sat 13th April, 3pm

If Walsall had been playing well during the 8 matches since DJ’s return from injury and the other four forwards whom Sadler prefers to DJ were on form and were creating chances and scoring goals, nobody would question him being left out.

All players go through spells of poor form, and it is bad luck that since the end of our good run of five wins in a row none of Matt, Gordon, DJT and Faal are doing particularly well. We have not seen enough of DJ since his return to know whether or not he is on form.

No you didn’t.

Because you offered nothing to counter it other than you didn’t think he was rubbish.

No i wasnt :rofl::rofl:

No I’ve looked at every single game DJ played in to answer a point you and others have made about him not having a chance.

You don’t like it because I can’t or won’t be bullied……that’s why you “blocked” me in the first place and it’s why you’re selective with what you respond to of mine.

We’re talking games, starts, touches, impacts, wins and losses……I thought you’d said wins and losses were the only stat that mattered….well we keep not winning when DJ ‘gets a chance’.

I can imagine.

Lol.

Total bollocks don’t think I’ve ever said that in my life :joy: I’ve said some stats are more useful than others, but as I said before, you don’t actually take in what anyone says.

Yes, you are :joy::joy:

DJ and Faal to start Tuesday then?

Rollin off the bench to nod the winner.

Apart from 5 minutes against Salford not sure we have seen the DJ Faal combo have we?
Might actually be worth a punt.

I would :man_shrugging: they’re the most useful out the group of strikers as far as I can see.

Yes the ones you select to use.

You haven’t said anything constructive.

As usual with you, you pivot and then try and shout louder.

It’s bully boy tactics and you block me because you can’t get your own way.

Yeah….like that’s worth doing if you then sneak a look at what that persons posting :rofl:

In all seriousness I think its worth a try. Faal should now be able to do a full 90.

When you get a bunch of hidden responses whenever you post, sometimes it’s worth just pointing out when they’re talking bollocks, or outright lying about something you’ve said (like just then).

If there was an option to block out completely I would :+1:t3:

The choice is always yours to make.

And you should select better because you’ve chosen really poorly here.

I’m totally serious. Faal is raw but at least he seems to generate chances. DJ is the best finisher by miles. Matt off the bench and if we are really really struggling Gordon.

I think Faal will start but likely with Gordon. Wouldn’t be surprised if Matt misses the bench.

Hutch goes, Jellis is one to develope and introduce into pro football next year. It would be unfair to be expect too much from him straight away. No doubt he will need a few months to adapt. Mayer probably more of a bit part next season, McEntee will he be a CDM or one of the 3 CB’s? Not much in the away of attacking creative options apart from Earing. I dont think that 3 attacking midfield additions is unrealistic, especially given our recent injury history and losing players.

As an alternative, it would be nice to have someone who could also play with a bit of natural width if we need to mix it up a bit in games as part of those who come in. We are very predictable at the moment in how we play

Am i missing who Parker is?

Think he might mean Dylan Thomas ,but I’d imagine is even further away from 1st team football than Jellis and Maher.

It’s a disgraceful outcome. Why sign him, why sell DJ is a red t-shirts at £30 a pop? The whole situation stinks. I wish someone in the media would grill Sadler about it instead of ‘what’s your thoughts on today’ rubbish.

Doesn’t run enough in training apparently.

‘Why sign him?’ is a decent question to ask. His last few appearances for us in 2022/23 were poor. He stunk the place out back at Mansfield.
CS has brilliantly summed up an answer to the question ‘Why don’t you play DJ?’ As runs of ‘poor form’ go DJ’s resembles ‘The Mousetrap’.

I dread to ask what you think about DJT in the case :flushed:

An assumption that’s going to quickly become UTS fact, or you know something no one else does?

There’s absolutely no logical reason to play DJT over DJ. It’s utter madness.
