If Walsall had been playing well during the 8 matches since DJ’s return from injury and the other four forwards whom Sadler prefers to DJ were on form and were creating chances and scoring goals, nobody would question him being left out.
All players go through spells of poor form, and it is bad luck that since the end of our good run of five wins in a row none of Matt, Gordon, DJT and Faal are doing particularly well. We have not seen enough of DJ since his return to know whether or not he is on form.
Because you offered nothing to counter it other than you didn’t think he was rubbish.
No i wasnt
No I’ve looked at every single game DJ played in to answer a point you and others have made about him not having a chance.
You don’t like it because I can’t or won’t be bullied……that’s why you “blocked” me in the first place and it’s why you’re selective with what you respond to of mine.
We’re talking games, starts, touches, impacts, wins and losses……I thought you’d said wins and losses were the only stat that mattered….well we keep not winning when DJ ‘gets a chance’.
Total bollocks don’t think I’ve ever said that in my life I’ve said some stats are more useful than others, but as I said before, you don’t actually take in what anyone says.
When you get a bunch of hidden responses whenever you post, sometimes it’s worth just pointing out when they’re talking bollocks, or outright lying about something you’ve said (like just then).
If there was an option to block out completely I would
I’m totally serious. Faal is raw but at least he seems to generate chances. DJ is the best finisher by miles. Matt off the bench and if we are really really struggling Gordon.
Hutch goes, Jellis is one to develope and introduce into pro football next year. It would be unfair to be expect too much from him straight away. No doubt he will need a few months to adapt. Mayer probably more of a bit part next season, McEntee will he be a CDM or one of the 3 CB’s? Not much in the away of attacking creative options apart from Earing. I dont think that 3 attacking midfield additions is unrealistic, especially given our recent injury history and losing players.
As an alternative, it would be nice to have someone who could also play with a bit of natural width if we need to mix it up a bit in games as part of those who come in. We are very predictable at the moment in how we play
It’s a disgraceful outcome. Why sign him, why sell DJ is a red t-shirts at £30 a pop? The whole situation stinks. I wish someone in the media would grill Sadler about it instead of ‘what’s your thoughts on today’ rubbish.
‘Why sign him?’ is a decent question to ask. His last few appearances for us in 2022/23 were poor. He stunk the place out back at Mansfield.
CS has brilliantly summed up an answer to the question ‘Why don’t you play DJ?’ As runs of ‘poor form’ go DJ’s resembles ‘The Mousetrap’.
