Does anyone know if the Pineapple is still open??
Ask Chunk-ster
Nah, itās been closed a while, but West Berkshire is a f88king long hike to the ground!
it is yeah went in last season
Iāve seen signs in recent weeks of us becoming a very dangerous side. Earing and Hutchinson bring creativity in midfield and are scoring goals, those two have made a big difference in how we play. Comley has also been a steady influence in the centre allowing Jack and Isaac much more freedom to attack.
I think there are teams in this league who are afraid of us, Stockport may be one of them.
If we can continue our good form of late we can get a result from this gameā¦I certainly hope so.
The man from Del Monte say yes.
What! Stockport afraid of us ? Are you serious, they are probably the best team in the division and look very likely to get promoted, what on earth makes you think they would quiver at the thought of Walsall rolling into town. I think you may be getting a tad excited in the recent upturn in results, but I admire your optimism.
What team would you start tomorrow if stork and tierney are fit?
Same team as Southampton for me. Will be nice to have some genuine options off the bench!
How many tickets we sold so far?
No but the Tally Ho club will be more than pleased to see you
Although I think Stockport being afraid of us might be a bit hyperbolic, I donāt think @davidusa is wrong with his sentiment to be fair. Having looked on the Stockport forum yesterday, there is definitely some degree of apprehension and caution shared by some of their fans about tomorrowās game, with some of them already debating if they can afford to drop points.
We are the most in form team in the league over the Christmas period, with 4 wins in 5, with 3 of those wins being against teams in the current top 6, including a 6-1 drubbing away at Grimsby. I would argue that any caution or apprehension is probably warranted. This might also be caused by their current injury crisis that is arguably worse than ours at the moment. Their full squad to select from is quite daunting at this level if all of their players were fit and healthy.
Although I have already tempered my expectations for tomorrow and see it as a bit of a free hit, I hope we go there full of confidence and determination. We have proved over the last few games that we can beat anyone on our day so hopefully we can sustain this momentum and consistency throughout the rest of the month.
One last thing. If you canāt be allowed to feel positive and optimistic after the fantastic performances over the last month, then I donāt know when it is acceptable to be. I understand that our form hasnāt been sustained yet and playoffs is still a bit of a pipedream. However, we seldom have a run of performances like this in recent years as a Walsall fan so observing the brief moment of levity amongst the positivity, hope and optimism is refreshing and has been greatly needed after so much cynicism and scrutiny.
It reminded me of Ange Postocoglouās remarks to a reporter that scoffed at the idea of Tottenham being optimistic earlier this season.
They are not very confident on their forum
A somewhat disappointing but understandable gate given the big day out we all had last weekend at the wonderful St Marys arena. Hopefully with a few waverers realising the importance of this game and our irresistible recent form, plus itās a very easy one to travel to, weāll be pushing up towards six hundred spectators.
Probably be about 650 in the end, which is a bit below par but understandable when you consider last weekās game and the fact we took over 1,000 twice there last season.
Sorry to disappoint you, but 5/1 & 100/30 will give you combined odds of 6/4.
Is Jason Lee the landlord ?.
Easy to travel to, but never an easy place to go to.
