I know I argue in simplistic terms, but swap DJ for Gordon since Jan (not including injuries) then we get in the play offs.
Apart from 1 goal lwhat has Gordon actually contributed?
Runs hard - Yes
Wins headers - No
Scores goals - No
Goal Assists - 1 maybe if any at all.
And I fear we will sign him next season, if we do we can forget making a serious go at it.
Would gladly pack knowles bags for him too.

My thoughts on the season.
It has been more enjoyable to watch, for me anyway. The second half of last season has left me with mental scars, so that is something.
All in all, we have improved at set pieces and that has probably gained us the extra points to take us into the top half and not finish 16th again.
Miss too many chances and donât keep enough clean sheets, next year could be better but I wouldnât put any big bets on it personally.
Still got Wimbledon to go yet anyway, got tickets so will try and make a good day of it.

Some other notes.
We saw, again, why Liam Gordon is playing in league two. A few times in each half he had gaping chances to either shoot on target or cross⌠failed every time.
Josh GordonâŚ. Wow. I donât even move when he has the ball near the box or in a shooting position. I donât react; itâs like driving along the road and seeing a lamppost - no sort of reaction or any emotion or hope. Got to be up there with our worst ever strikers for me. Is that 1 in 20 now?
Need to think seriously about a few players
Daniels - been awful last few months . Is this just bad form or did the injury take its toll and this is the new daniels . If daniels canât prove himself pre season maybe itâs time to let go
Matt - guy need a zimmer frame . So slow and canât last he is done . Hope Sadler thinks so
Stirk and Comley - both decent but the top teams in our league had cdm that offers so much more than both . Are they good enough to start for a play off team ?
Knowles- can run but canât play football. An athlete not a football must go
Josh Gordon - if sadler signs him I cba with next season as it shows what sadlers happy with. Worst strikers that lavery as far as scoring goals matters which is is main job! Awful striker

You certainly get all the emotions watching a Walsall game. Was on a high when 2-0 up but I swear saw a change where Stirk dropped deeper into a âright letâs protect thisâ move. Then from the minute they pulled one back nothing went for us, hit the post, missed penalty decisions etc etc.
Stayed behind for the players lap of honour, the deserved an extra clap. Got a couple of pictures of my son with a couple of players.
The under riding feeling is we have missed out , loads of games where we had the chances but we lost or drew. A couple of times it was the other way around.
Highlights
Agree, the best goal he scored was disallowed against NC. If it wasnât for bad luck, weâd have no luck at all.
Not signing Cook pre season then
Will say a lot about our intentions next season whether we sign up Matt and Gordon, or go after Faal or similar. He has picked Gordon virtually every game, I reckon he will be here next season.
If we had cook uptop over Gordon weâd be in the playoffs just saying
Couldnât care less about him being a knob and I donât get the cook hate. His an old score goalscorer and his dam good at it . He tore daniels and Dave apart , his better than any of our strikers
