Don’t worry, people who aren’t trolls (or Tories ) are safe.
@DanG_WFC totally agree. Back up for me to be fair. Definitely not captain either. Useful to have in the squad. But for someone to call him"poor" is a bit over the top.
I’m a believer that the league table doesn’t lie. Talk of “this squad is top 3” or “top 5” on paper just isn’t the case, otherwise they would have delivered it.
There are matters that have to be addressed in the Summer. We have conceded 68 goals, that is too many for automatic promotion and is on the high end for a playoff spot. We could probably get away with conceding that many if we just out scored teams, but we are probably 20 goals short of where we need to be for us to be in contention of the top 3 (well probably 40 if we factor in conceding more).
If we fix one of these issues we could have a tilt at the top 7 next season, fix both and we will be seen as a real contender. My concern is we don’t fix them and we end up stagnating again.
Sadler has earned the right to put right those issues in the Summer and hopefully Trivela invest to build on this season. Over to them, this work starts Monday morning.
That’s why I said we have an outside chance!! (Very outside…)
After watching Graham Alexander behaving like an absolute tw@t on the touchline for 90+ minutes today, I’m even more firmly in the Matt Sadler deserves next season camp.
For me Sadler hasn’t shown enough for another season, mistake after mistake… it needs addressing.
Are we agreeing on something lol. Yes not a starter and not captain. 100 pct
You’re putting them away better than Walsall did.
Still mathematically in with a play off berth (no it won’t happen) going into our final game, far better than any of his predecessors and you dont think he deserves another go?
Yes I hate how hes treated Sadler but for me he def deserves another crack at it in what will be a far weaker league than this season.
He’s not a capable manager.
Sign me up. hic
Just my opinion mate, I think a better manager cements us in the play offs this season.
He’s been part of a failing team for a few years, I’d like to see a change.
But again that’s just my opinion.
Yeah I’d agree with that, he’s nowhere near poor!
Its a saft one.
- Best finish in 5 years
- kept us dreaming till the end
- helped get ROK back in
- creating a solid coaching staff
I want to see what he does next season and im excited about it.
Again your opinion, I’m not convinced.
Oh and it’s league 2 , no great achievement is it.
I really don’t understand the whole ‘Sadler Out’ ‘Sadler Out’ ‘Sadler Out’ after every game we lose.
If he was going to be gone, it would have been back in December when there was a possibility we could have been in a relegation scrap, not with one game left with a very slim chance of still finishing 7th.
He probably gets until minimum Christmas next season to see where we are at that point.
Until then, the whole Sadler Out, PE Teacher, booing of subs at the moment is just weird
It’s mental how triggered people are by this. Never mind that it didn’t actually happen today.
I think some folk are forgetting when talking about next season we have 3 centre backs injured one of whom(Williams )coped well with Cook in the reverse fixture, we have one of our best footballers injured in Earing (very significant that our best performances came with him in the team) and we have 3 players who we really haven’t seen play, Jellis, Weir and Maher who could all be useful next year.
I have been arguing for some time we need a couple of forwards to help us but after seen our frenetic play today an experienced midfielder might be useful. If Hutchinson goes then that would become a necessity.
Nonetheless it will be a big Summer for Trivela and I hope we get the signings we need to turn this promising team into a promotion outfit…top 3 please.
Certainly didn’t happen , this shites getting boring now!
