L 3-2 vs Bradford City (H) - League Two - Sat 20th April, 3pm

I understand that people vent after a loss. But the constant knocking of Sadler is really not helping us moving forward.
He may not be your cup of tea. But he’s done enough to earn some respect if nothing else.
Even the managers in the top 3 have made mistakes. Its a trait of being a human! Sadler has enough support around him in Waddock and ROK. They will not allow him to fail, but collectively they may all make the wrong call.
Whilst he is our manager lets support him, not jump on the Sadler out bandwagon.

I know as fans we have endured many years of hurt, but that’s not anyone’s fault in the current set up. The victim mentality ain’t a good look and right now, we ain’t victims, so lets start looking forward and getting behind everyone, starting next week at Wimbledon.
Btw, look at what they have been through, i bet they are just happy to have a club.

Keep the faith all :crossed_fingers:t2:

Never said it did, did I?

No but you were whingeing about it in the match thread about todays game.

Well, except Sadler was both in the playing and coaching staff for a lot of that :joy:

Agree he’s done enough to keep his job though.

We’ve come up short this season in all three departments , through injuries to our defenders , midfield and our forward line has been so disjointed with Draper being recalled , DJ not fitting into the Saddler so called system , Matt being done and the rest other than Faal who shows promise being utter garbage , as said many times our forward line has cost us dear this season . Is MS the man to sort it :man_shrugging:

Its not hurt. Im sure not many had us in the top 10 at the beginning of the season.

He has obviously used that experience in a positive way then .
Not just keep his job, but enough for the management to support and trust him with funds to build next year. :crossed_fingers:t2:

Had a vindaloo myself and breathing fire so beware .

Very good summary of where we are and where we need to get to. Defence is so important in this league. Keep a clean sheet and you have always got a chance.

That is generally what happens with a manager in the summer.

My comment was obviously reflecting on the season as a whole.

Wasn’t any PE Teacher comments made today either, funny you didn’t whinge about me whingeing about that :grinning:

I haven’t read the whole thread, although I dud assume that would be relevant too, but obviously not :grinning:

We can look forward with optimism :+1:t2:

What I think is weird are the apologists on this site who want to us to celebrate that little bit of a ‘prick tease’ we had with the 4th division play offs. Like the champagne moment in our 100 plus year history. That to me is weird

After that result today it feels a bit like we’ve been but out of our misery finally.it been slow and lingering this last month .then I see we’re not out of it yet .:triumph: think we need to sign the forms “ Do Not Resuscitate.

I have a feeling Josh Gordon will be our player next season, I wouldn’t personally but what do I know?

I used to think it was weird. But nah. It’s now okay to fail as long as you weren’t as shit as the year before.

So glad that the likes of Nicholl Graydon and Money came in at difficult times they had a bit of drive. Not like these apologists who settle for being a little less shit.

We are just not good enough for a play off place. our defending was poor today and has been many times this season. sadler to stubborn or naive to change formation or personnel Gorden has no end product for all his running around , DJT is no where near a league player .
Simply put we have thrown so many games away this season because we cant do basic defending and are so poor in front of goal.
we looked nothing like a team in play off contention for the majority of today’s game and just wasted chance after chance . much bigger rebuild needed than most would like to admit .
im just gutted

It’s being realistic!! It’s not about accepting it, it’s understanding where we are as a club.
I don’t know anyone that’s happy with it. We fell short, nothing we can do about it now, unless results go our way. So we must build on it for next year. Keep the faith chaps :+1:t2:

With 3 centre backs out (4 with Adeboyega) he had little choice at CB. We hit the post twice and had 2 good penalty appeals rejected . Fine margins however the fact is we aren’t quite good enough to go up . That needs addressing in the Summer.
