He was everything Flynn wanted too but we couldn’t get that over the line either.

Only thing I saw was him get struck inside of the leg from Dan Watson in the warm up, was soft how it happened if that’s what caused it
Is it just me or is there an element of Matt Taylor post Scunthorpe in that? Looks like he knows the writing is on the wall to me exactly how MT looked.
A lot of nonsense and technical “speak”… well and truly lost the plot.
I mean I’m not going to say he was brilliant, part of an awful team performance, but he gets in the right positions all the time. There was one early in the second half where Knowles literally just had to slide the ball in front of him and he is in on goal, but he chose to take a tame shot straight at the keeper. DJT as you mentioned just doesn’t have it in his game to make the right runs, get in the right areas at the right times.
Same as you I don’t wanna be picking any individual out of that shit show but he doesn’t do anything when he gets on the pitch to show he has any chance of making it.

My suspicion too, has MS sought “good characters” because he can’t handle the more, shall we say 'Maverick" type of players. You know the type, sometimes temperamental and difficult to manage, but ones that can turn the game in a flash.
Sadler has the worst, more boring , least inspiring , and most disrespectful interviews ever

As I said, I get what you were saying but DJT is such an easy target. There were a lot more experienced individuals out there that didn’t appear to have much know how.
Truth is, I felt sorry for the kid. As I said on another thread, I’m not sure how he’s supposed to develop with so few minutes on a football pitch. So what do we do, chuck him into the middle of a clusterfuck of a performance. Go on kid, you’ve got this

Looks like Walsall FC are breaking another manager. So that’s Flynn, Taylor and potentially Sadler in recent times. Still it’s easier to blame Sadler solely currently isn’t it?
Let’s sack him and then complain about another manager being out his depth in 2-3 months. Not that I’m excusing today as it was horrific but let’s see how we bounce back before making judgements after 12 games.

You get the feeling Sadler thinks we are some sort of slick passing, possession based team. In reality I think this might be the first game where we had the majority of the ball?
12 games in, I have no idea what sort of team we are or even what we are trying to be.
I do think it’s generally been better to watch than most of what Flynn served up last season, but that’s a very low bar.
Front-foot football is going to join incremental progress as another buzz word for us to all laugh about.

I think he had started reasonably well going into today but today was a horror show and big cause for concern. However I want to see if he is able to bounce back before deciding that he should be sacked immediately.
