Just heard we will be wearing white at the Crown Oil Arena tomorrow for those of you who wear replica shirts to the games.
Iāve always wondered why they call them replica shirts. Strictly speaking itās true because any mass-produced attire is a replica of an original design, but why is that attribute specifically worthy of a mention? You could call them red-coloured, bi-armed, mono-collared, cotton/polyester replica shirts and still be correct.
Got to honest I canāt stand that White Kitā¦
Appreciate your honesty Luke.
We canāt do much worse than we have been doing in the home red so lets hope for a change of fortunes with the change of kit.
We wore the white kit against Wimbledon.
Maybe Flynn could use it as a reason for us not playing too well, didnāt Ferguson use the grey man utd grey kit as an excuse?
I couldnāt agree more! If you support a club you canāt turn your back on them when results arenāt favorable. Unfortunately, some fans just need a couple of losses on the bounce to stay away from the ground. Most of us will continue their support hoping for the good times ahead
As Walsall fans weāve put up with a lot over the years, and, no doubt we will continue to do so.
For me, supporting a club is just like a marriage - commitment to a life long relationship.

I agree but I hope, in both cases, we donāt just live off the memories.

What a load of nonsense. Considering the absolute tat we have had to put up with the support has been incredible, in a time where prices are rocketing and people have less and less disposable income.
I donāt mean to have a dig at you personally, it just really annoys me to see people dig fans out all the time. I know you arenāt talking about me, but I havenāt been to the last 2 home games and not been to an away game since Stockport in the cup. Cos quite frankly it is too painful to watch. I havenāt renewed mine or the boys season tickets either. Doesnāt mean I wonāt go but it will be on my terms this time.
In my life I have gone to ridiculous lengths to follow the lads, lost good jobs, cancelled a marriage, and god knows what else. I know there are a lot of fans out there that have been even more dedicated than myself and I have noted some of those have started to question why they are doing it.
One thing that has clicked with me this year after 40 years + is that I owe Walsall F.C nothing. I still love them like a family member but I donāt like a lot of things about the Club. It is up to them to give something back for all the loyal support the fans have given.
Normally a definite for me me, top away day, proper club with proper fans, only a short journey for meā¦ But CBA for tomorrow. Partly due to me not feeling 100% at moment and partly cos this seasons collapse has beaten the enthusiasm out of me. Plus Iām skint like most people but mostly CBA and thatās a first for me in long decades of going anyway
Plus thereās a good chance that theyll be relegated when its such a lovely welcoming club. Think of the absolute scutbags in our division. The area of the BBC especially
Yeah, but you can sometimes get fed up of the missus, so you opt for a trial separation before deciding you feel better for it and decide to pop in occasionally for a cuppa.
I donāt think that is one of the recognised communication channels. Maybe email the SLO first before you pop round.
Not sure how many people will be watching in rose-tinted spectacles or not which will affect how our white kit looks. Think Iāll put my sunglasses on to watch on i-follow,
Hope you have a good trip @KingCrod regardless!
Great post mate.I was very much teetering on the edge of gettting a season ticket for me and Manda too because I really do enjoy the actual day itself and having a pint with a couple of the lads on here but I just canāt justify paying over 600 quid or whatever it is to go and watch the type of football we play.It comes to something when the whole day gets ruined by the actual thing youāve paid to go and watch because thatās exactly what happens.I turn up have a pint and a laugh with folk and then by ten to five I storm out feeling dejected and frankly pissed off.Do you know what Iāll probably get stick for this but I hardly even celebrated when Hutchinson scored that late equaliser because it just didnāt mean anything, it was just a lucky goal after an absolutely dismal and shocking performance.I was in the tunnel on the way out when he scored and I just turned around and walked out the doors after it went in because I was so disappointed with the performance.
Ya should come back up the club for a couple after the game mate and reflect with all the other disappointed fans
Why are so many Walsall fans going to this x defo not for the football
Another one here from the CBA brigade, always always go to Rochdale, itās reasonably local for me and like a pilgrimage for the past few years, even though it has always seemed to be fixtured for a Tuesday evening! However, not today, if the āteamā CBA then neither can I. Most, if not all of them, appear to be already āon the beachā. Flynn lost the plot months ago, we cannot recruit to save our season, we play relentlessly boring football without the slightest idea of how to actually score goals. So my Ā£30/50 will stay in my pocket.
1-1 Draw best we can expect. Really hope Rochdale escape the drop, a ārealā olde worlde club with a great atmos and great fans.

Really hope Rochdale escape the drop,
Then youāll be able not to go again next season
You mean when we are 17th again, with a team of monster defenders who canāt jump for toffee and strikers with 3 goals between four of 'em? Probably will go, but next year the summer house might not need another coat of paint, which as far a adrenaline goes is FAR more exiting!
