Agree mate he even looked a very good prospect when went down from league 1 . I expected him to hit at least 15 goals in this poor league… Can not question his effort. As with Bates and a few others you can only put it down to the coaching they have had . Wonder who the blame lies with ?

Gordon. He’d be great as a second striker
Gordon. He won’t be a Lightbourne or a Penn, but as I said on another thread somewhere, he might be another Hector Sam.
What we need is a Manager who can get him back to the form he showed in the run-up to Lockdown One.

Lavery for me. He looks like he can at least fulfil the main requirement of a striker I.e. score occasionally. I don’t see that with Gordon. Even when he was playing better last season, his anticipation to be be where the ball drops in the box is woeful. The best strikers, like Wayne Clarke, just know where to be at the right time. And when Gordon does get a chance, his finishing is very average. Vale are welcome to him.

He’s scored more than Gordon!
Both wins have come with Gordon leading the line. This proves that he is more effective at running around like a headless chicken than Lavery. Lavery is the better goalscorer but doesn’t suit our style of play, whatever that is.

I’d keep Gordon for the simple reason that when the sports dinners start again hopefully later this year Josh can go and pretend to be Kris Kamara so that we can charge an extra fiver on the tickets.

That’s a silly comment. He’s not had a good primary striker to be the secondary to, has he? If it were him and say, Adebayo, up top then he’d look a totally different player
