Vale losing is good but still means have to win the last two to have any chance.
Would rather one of Donny/Bradford losing today given they play each other on Saturday so guarantee of at least one team dropping points.
It is sad it has come to all this. Today should’ve been the promotion game.

We’ll need a couple of proven strikers next season that’s for sure, which ever league we’re in.
We still do have one on the books this season, but didn’t make the bench today, which I think is unbelievable when we needed a win.

I have a feeling that Sadler is taking a lot of the flak when DJ has not always made himself available.
My knowledge of Sadler is that he is stubborn but very loyal to players who are good professionals. In a long career, Sadler rarely got into the news for being a bad egg, and I have a feeling that both Nigel Clough and Mat Sadler have seen the same issues with DJ.
I agree that DJ is a terrific finisher, but he won’t be at Walsall next season. That is not to say that he can’t score a goal or two between now and the end of the season, though…

That is just your feeling, with absolutely no evidence to support it. Why bother sharing that feeling, which is, as a matter of fact, libellous against Johnson?
People invent reasons out of thin air to explain why Sadler makes baffling selections. Williams has switched off and is not interested. Chang is injured. Maher is too small. DJ is on strike.

Other than injuries (all players have that to contend with) - The only time that DJ wasn’t available was after his wife gave birth and he was having some issues - I was under the impression that the club and DJ himself publicly acknowledged the matter and he received maximum support from the club (incl MS..)

For what ever reason Sadler isn’t playing him, and I agree he’ll be gone next season but he wants to score goals, you must admit when you’ve watched him come on, we needed a goal today and I for one would pick DJ over any striker we currently have at the club.

Been switching between the Bradford and Vale games. Even though we were better today, there’s a clear difference, the tempo between us and them is so far apart.
