League Two 24/25 - The Other 23

I found this, but it doesn’t have a date on it. I doubt it has changed though.

Looks like you are right, other than they don’t reset as such. If you reach 15 before matchday 38 you get a 3 match ban.

2024/25 Suspension rules, 10 bookings cut off is 37 matches.

Thanks - saved me digging it out again. :grinning:

And in case anyone asks, Taylor Allen’s 2 yellows at Colchester aren’t added to his total as he got an immediate 1 game ban - although if it had been a yellow followed by a straight red then it would have been.

Not impossible but it would give us a breather, I just hope it’s over before Crewe. There will be a lot of tension for the also-rans trying to either get a top 3 place or get into the playoffs,it’s really tight.

Absolutely I want my day in Crewho, to be stress free because we are either Champions or already promoted, can’t wait to give it the big un at their place, bloody hate em.

I’d like Vale Chesterfield and Crewe to join us in league one also salop survive and Wrexham fail with their bid

For the last few years I have habitually checked the National League tables to see if we would be playing anyone local to me in Huddersfield next season. I found myself doing that the other day, hoping Halifax might get in via the playoffs. Then I suddenly experienced the pleasurable realisation that it was no longer relevant!

So now looking forward to Huddersfield (probably), Barnsley and Rotherham, as well as possibly Bradford and Doncaster if they go up with us.

I really hope both of them don’t come up with us.

Much rather Notts County, Port Vale and Crewe.

Pure selfishness on my part! Mind you I’d still go to any of those three.

Was thinking similar yesterday when I was working in Huddersfield. Their ground is the only northern away ground I’ve not managed to visit (other than Everton and Newcastle grounds as we’ve never played there in my so hoping we go up and they stay in League one.

Having said that, York would be another if we were to somehow avoid promotion and they came up.

I don’t mind including the chickens, but I’m not counting any just yet.

Let’s just get our job done, the rest can take care of itself.

I agree totally. We can still end up in the play-offs or worse.

I could just about concede that the play-offs are a (distant) possibility, but the chances of “or worse”, i.e 8th place or below are so infinitesimally small that they can be effectively discounted.

And Derby & Stoke to get relegated

Lose 5 in a row and that is probably where we shall be. There is a very large pack.

Like I said infinitesimally small chance (in my opinion)

Given the 15point gap to 8th, the 29 better goal difference and that a few of the pack would play each other in that run it would more likely need a losing run of at lest 6 or 7 and then every single result in over 40 matches would need to go against us so would need a loosing run of about 9 matches at least already for us to drop out the playoffs.

3 straight losses from us and 3 wins for any of the 4 below us required for us to lose top spot for starters. Definitely can’t see our form falling away so badly that we fall out of the playoff places.Be more than surprised if we performed badly enough to finish out of the top 3. Still think we’ll ain the league, had a wobble down to only 6 ponts clear and we’ve already built that back to an 8 point buffer.
