Leicester City (H) - League Cup 3rd Round - Tue 24th September, 7:45pm

Against Huddersfield it was Hornby for Simkin, Weir for Allen, Adomah for Jamma, and Maher and Earing for Jellis and Lakin in our starting XI. Those displaced were on then bench, along with McEntee and Flash who are of course now not available, and we also had youngster Dylan Thomas and even George Barrett (as a 3rd keeper!) to make it up to the full 9. The game was just before the close of the window but the 2 that came in are also out of contention (Cleary being cup-tied and Hall another injured) but we have now have DJ back and also Browne.

Same again or go full strength? Do we recall Thomas, Wragg and/or Barrett to get the bench up to the 9 allowed, or are there any edge of comeback players (like Comley) to include in the squad?

Be a while before anyone plays at Wimbledon (by the way, that’s the footie ground, not the tennis court)

Based on the way its been hammering all day its got to be questionable.

I noticed Leicester under 21s are playing tonight has well.

No covers on unless theyve been taken off this afternoon

Been in Leicester today talking with one of thier season ticket holders, he was saying Leicester have sold their allocation. He tells me they are shocking at the moment, and suggested that Vardy wont play as they have Arsenal up next, so i would expect a few changes from the normal line up. I would like to think we will go strong for this one.

Light rain easing early tomorrow, with a gently breeze, then a brief return for an hour at teatime. The game should be OK to go ahead. Looking forward to it and the hope of being in the Rd 4 draw.

Thats the attitude.

The Newcastle game has been re-arranged for 2 weeks time away at St. James’s Park.

Surely they’re going to have to find a London club to ground share with for league games though.

That’s a right touch for Newcastle. Hope they pay for Wimbledon’s travel costs.

Be interesting to see if Wimbledon can share somewhere else. Bromley, Sutton or in a throwback maybe Palace.

They shared with Kingstonian for a few years so maybe could go back there. I think the capacity is about 4,000 so away tickets will be hard to come by.

That’s Chelsea Women’s ground now isn’t it?

BTW Wouldn’t be unhappy to go back there if that is how it pans out - Fatboys Cafe next to the ground was an amazing place. :plate_with_cutlery:

I enjoyed my visit to Kingstonian, proper old fashioned non-league ground, very friendly supporters club bar and also found it easy to park. The new plough lane set up isn’t good if you are travelling by car.

are the gate receipts still shared in this comp though? Might help pay for their new pitch, although that looks very expensive  I dont think they will be playing at their ground any time soon.

Yes they are, so you’re right, financially, it works for Wimbledon too. But a long way for team and fans to travel with now zero chance of progression.

Touch they drew one of biggest stadiums in country. I don’t forsee them playing at home for a long time there. Crazy damage
